Rafa: Moro needs pitch time

Bull. How come he needs pitch time, but Cisse needs to work in training?

Put the lad in the reserves, where the team is geared to a single striker. Let him score there, and if he can, put him back in the first team.

Rafa is taking us for idiots. Whilst up to now I realised that Rafa is doing the best for club, I do think favouritism could see him lose some of the shine he has.

Its unfair to moro, as he is constantly under pressure. If Cisse is as bad as he thinks, put him in, see him mess up, and bring on Moro, then his justification is ok. It seems like he is scared to put cisse on, in case he scores, and has to play him more. Its like houllier and Fowler again.

I don't think he's taking us for idiots at all. If Moro works he will fit the system that Rafa wants. If Cisse works, he will still be out of place in the team. Neither is working at the moment, but Moro is potentially part of the jigsaw, Cisse will never be.

Nando needs games because he has the right attitude and tries hard to stay in the game even if things aren't working out. Cisse needs to just go away and join some other club who have no choice but to put up with his bad attitude and semi commitment.

and it's not favouritism. You don't get success like Rafa has already had by selecting the players you personally like.

Well, yes it is favouritism in a sense. The argument is whether Rafa is being seen as justified in his decisions. It's a bit of a pickly one, Nando has been given ample opportunity that he would have not have received at any other prem club. Most strikers are benched after 4 or 5 barren runs, let alone 14 or 15.

For Cisse to be judged fairly, i think he needs to be given just as much of a chance as Nando has, so it is easy to see the frustration re this whole matter. Personally, I feel if Djib had the same time on the pitch as Nando has had, he would have bagged 10 goals. Still a bit lower than you'd expect but better than none.

It's not favouritism. Rafa has stated more often than i care to remember what is most important to him. i quote

"the right mentality"

FM has frustrated me because he looks a little lightweight & not quick/sharp enough but he has the right mentality and he works hard and does NOT hide. Cisse has not shown enough when he has had opportunities and for me his mentality is wrong. Rafa would know better than me if this is right but it is too easy to say it is favouritism.

On top of all that Cisse is not suited to our play at all.

That's called favouritism!!! Rafa is playing those whom he "favours" and believes have the right mentaility. Dunno what definition of favouritism you're going by, but when one player is consitently being chosen over another then that, by definition, is showing favouritism. Hello MacFly?

If I was Rafa, I would also favour a player who worked hard in training and matches, could take advice and suited the team system instead of one who doesn't have the right mentality.

Favouritism?

I wouldn't call it that.

I would call it inevitable common sense.

Get to work Cisse lad!

Earn your place in the team.

fact is that both crouch and moro together works better for the team as a whole..

Oh so thats why we barely manage to score one goal a game? I think its a joke that Cisse isn't starting in place of Morientes at the moment. In fact I'm pretty sure that since Morientes has had a permanent place up front recently that our goal average is below 1 a game. At times its the tactics and service from midfield that is to blame, but really I think Cisse deserves as much time as Morientes. If he had 14 starts in a row he would probably be finding his feet and scoring a lot more goals. Morientes on the other hand looks like he will never come close to a goal.

SO who else is Rafffffffa's favourite?

Reina - he seems to play alot and poor old Jerzy left to rot on the bench. Pure favouritism.

Finnan - Get's in the first team infront of Kromkamp. Favourite.

Riise - Favourite

Hyypia and Carragher - Favourites. Obviously

Sissoko, Alonso, Gerrard and Kewell - All favourites.

Crouch and Morientes - Favourites.

So basically Cissé and Dudek aren't Raffffa's favourites.

He's a complete know nothing g******* is our manager.......

you see here is where people get there heads up there a***

I am the first to admit that Moro is lacking confidence in front of goal, but no-one can convince me that Cisse would contribute more to the team than Morientes.......he works his b******s off, links with midfield, closes down when not in possession

I dont know this, but I assume the reason why Morientes starts is because he has the Benitez work ethic, I have seen more work in a Mexican village on a hot Sunday morning than Cisse

If people think Rafa is in deriliction of his duty then they must want him replaced as manager surely? No?

The fact is we are doing well... in the 1/4 of the cup, still in the CL and are joint 2nd in the League......

The manager is doing something right

The only reason Morientes was in the team on Saturday was because we didn't have someone better. Cisse is not the same player he was before he broke his leg. And that's unfortunate.

I'd say Robbie and Crouch are probably our best pairing up front. Let's see if Nando starts ahead of Fowler the next time all three are available.

to be honest I cant muster a real whinge about matters

We are not scoring enough, but I am positive Cisse wouldnt improve that and I also think that he contributes little or nothing in all other aspects of the game.........

I dont think we will see the issue properly resolved until the summer when we will buy a striker...sell Cisse, and maybe even Morientes......

But for the moment Morientes is working very hard and as I have said he has a work ethich that Cisse could only dream of, and I am sure that gets him in the side above Cisse

Where is this magical figure of 14 constantly appearing from?

If Djimi Traore had 73 starts in a row he'd probably find his feet too because he left them behind at some ground or other.

you know what, put me on the pitch, I would work hard. In fact, Meijer worked really hard too. We should have kpet him.

How that Ricketts striker, he used to work really hard. and Beattie, there is one we should go for, he works really hard as well.

Bottom line the player is not doing his job. I could understand if he was making assists, getting shots on target etc. Cisse's crime is to miss the goal against the scum.

When other players under perform, he takes them out but not Moro. THAT is favourtism.

Proof will be in the pudding come the summer. If Moro stays for another season that really be a case of old boys network.
