Why do these threads always have to be Liverpool games - why can't we do something easy like, oh I don't know, a Bayern Munich match for a change?

I think he's daft enough to play Jones there before Endo.

Although I wouldn't be remotely surprised if Jones refuses.

No. Not cos I’m above it. I thought Forest’s third and PSV’s 4th would be game changers so I was “alright” with them but that was in the context of already clearly losing late in a game.

Arne isn’t Hodgson (I was so angry when stupid Joe Cole got that stupid winner against stupid Bolton) so I still want him to win the next game and then the next one and then the next one until I look a t*** for doubting him.

It’s built into the question that he loses his job if he loses the game though. Otherwise the question is just “Do you like Liverpool?”

This is the kind of fixture that could either be a gimme because they are newly promoted and out of form, or a genuine kick in the teeth because they show up. 

In theory it could also be the kind of game where we show what we want to be, press and play with intensity and purpose in and out of possession,but that's not a thing anymore. There will be those treating an easily gotten win as if that's what happened.

We haven't any gimmes in ages, especially vs newly promoted sides. Leeds were out of form completely when we played them at their place, and we bottled it 3 times. Our one win against the newly promoted sides was a last minute penalty v Burnley. 

This is going to be a struggle as all of our games have been against that type of lot.

Can't see that at all. Their crowd and players will be up and they will be right at us.

Bradley, Frimpong, Gomez and Dom all missing. So assume it’ll be Jones as 5th choice right back. Even if Gomez is fit he won’t do 90.
