Did you ever consider that he may just be intelligent enough to acknowledge that history could repeat itself.

 

So far, these owners have done what the previous owners did. They've conducted a charm offensive and f***ed off. Although maybe they want this season to be a f*** up so that Torres et al want to leave and they can buy without using their own money. It's as plausible as any other theory until we see something to prove otherwise over a sustained period.
