Cheesecake Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Seeing as all and sundry have an opinion good or bad about the tactics employed in our games so far this season, what approach would you put forward to get 3 points against Birmingham City? Kuyt is out obviously, so put forward your teams but more preferably say who you think is a big threat and how you would counteract that while also allowing us to be aggressive enough going forward to get a win I'd go withReina KoncheskyAggerCarragherJohnson PoulsonLucas JovanovicMeirelesGerrard Torres A big threat for me would be McFadden and also Zigic if he starts then Soto might be required. Their centre midfielders arent hugely pacey - Ferguson, Bowyer and if we had Poulson and Lucas in the centre with SG, Jova And Meireles ahead of them I think we would carry enough threat to ensure we see enough of the play in their half to get a goal. Jeromes power should be handled by Carra and Agger without too much hassle but the threat from set-pieces makes me think a starting spot for the Greek would be a better bet at the back Thoughts?
