Mascherano - Yet again, a storming performance playing out of position. If we could inject his drive into a few of the others we might have some team.

 

Pepe - Best keeper in the league by a distance, although I'm sure that Liverpool fans are some of the few that realie it.

 

Gerrard - I am much happier with him CM. He's much more influential from there and is able to dictate the game more. Plus his bursts from midfield are genuinely dangerous.

 

Honourable mentions

 

Insua - Sorry, but he gets flak for his defensive weaknesses. Explain then, how we got better defensively when he came on.

 

Maxi - thought he had a very good composed game.
