floyd the barber Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 another great opportunity today and yet again...he blew it.....f`king weak hearted man who doesnt deserve to be in our team, let alone squad... please go away......hes had plenty of chances.
Nebraska Red Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 can only agree with all of the above. so many weak efforts from him today, and others to be fair. however, this was his big chance, and he blew it.
D.Boon Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Rafa knows he is s*** as well, until he has some cash to spend or someone is daft enough to give us some money for him he is stuck with him unfortunately
David Hodgson Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 So, one bad game, 5 good appearances , and one more bad one (in a game where he was unfairly compromised by being played on the left, and where all his team mates were also sub standard) and we again safely write Babel off. That seems fair. Different rules for Babel. I forget sometimes .....
Rory Fitzgerald Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Everyone gets a black mark against them yesterday, no one played well.
Maldini Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 5 good appearances? Must have missed them! How is playing Babel from the left unfairly compromising him? He's played his whole career there! I rarely ever slag off our players, but I've long since run out of patience with Babel. He'll never fulfill his potential, another Cissé.

David Hodgson Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 hold on...i must`ve missed the good games?? I havent seen Babel put in a decent performance in 2 years.... Do you not get to the games then ?

He's played his whole career there! I rarely ever slag off our players, but I've long since run out of patience with Babel. He'll never fulfill his potential, another Cissé. Every game he's played in bar Spurs, and his 5 mins against Villa he has made very positive contributions. All of those positive contributions have come from a position on the right wing. He may have his limitations, but at least letting a one footed player with extraordinary pace play on the right hand side is going to get the best out of him. I know he often played on the left in Holland, but neither of us really know anything about that part of his career, so its not really relevant here.
David Hodgson Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Everyone gets a black mark against them yesterday, no one played well. Exactly, but Babel and Spearing seem to be getting singled out by quite a few.
floyd the barber Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 Exactly, but Babel and Spearing seem to be getting singled out by quite a few. with babel it might be because of the flashes of brilliance we have seen from him, that he is a full international and we played a decent amount of money...so yes in a way..he should be singled out because every time i see him in the starting line up...im pretty confident he will be s*** and provide nothing...thats what its come to with him
floyd the barber Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 Do you not get to the games then ? please tell me the games in which he has put in a good strong peformance, im talking last season and this current one.....and no not the dodgy 5 minutes where he comes on and makes a couple of good touches.. Games where he started..........please name me them

He didn't "often" play on the left, he only played on the left. I watched him all the time on Goalissimo on Ch4. I admire your patience with the guy, but I just can't stand seeing him in the team anymore, almost every move ends when it gets to him.
Toni Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) For reasons I dont even fully understand i still have faith in him and hope he l come good. Perhaps his amazing speed, ridiculous strength, powerful shot, and discreet technique, compel me to think that this young lad if he just can gain a bit of confidence, poise, and finally is able to feel at home by his manager, team-mates and fans alike, just maybe he cannot, not come good... but also maybe this thought of mine propels me towards my first steps of lunacy. richwilks Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 5 good appearances ... in two years is s***.

Don't see how he's any better than Pennant tbh. In fact, he's probably worse.

Perhaps his amazing speed, ridiculous strength, powerful shot, and discreet technique  Maybe he should play rugby than? Although your right about his discreet technique? Its so discreet you wouldn't think he actually had it!!

cymrococh Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 He looks shocked and confused whenever he gets the ball. Utterly devoid of any clue. And if N'gog is not good enough to start in his place, then he can f*ck off as well.
Crazy Horse Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I'm drivin' in my Fiat Bentley, you really oughta see it. From his tweetphoto site, for those who haven't seen it - http://tweetphoto.com/user/RyanBabel19
John am Rhein Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 almost every move ends when it gets to him. he's the new McManaman
johngibo YPC Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 He's had a few good games in a row Babel. Off the bench he is looking a good option this seasonHe wasn't great on saturday, but nor was anyone
Mr. Biscan Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Babel looks decent when he tries hard. When he doesn't he stands out like a sore thumb.
kop205 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 he's the new McManaman What a ridiculous thing to say.
Conrad Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 he's the new McManaman not fit to tie his boot laces
