Knox_Harrington Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 i wonder what arbeloa said to turn jamie into the hulk?"Why didn't you say that to the right back away at Boro?"
_00_deathscar Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 "Why didn't you say that to the right back away at Boro?" "Why did you s*** out of playing right back against Boro" more like...
Cam Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 "I like Carragher but I also like Arbeloa. There's only one way to settle this... FIGHT!!!".
lfc4eva99 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Carra was giving a lot of instructions today to the likes of Lucas as well, maybe the midweek touchline experience got a little too much into his head? Saying that, had Xabi not gotten in between, it could have been uglier. Wrong way to do it though, Arby looked a little out of it for a while after that, a better side could have capitalized on it.
Andy @ Allerton Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 He seemed to be saying something like "w*****.. w*****.. w*****.. w*****.. w*****.." Certainly appeared to be the same word again and again beginning with W

Frosty Jack Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 gotta love the passion? carra has been a great player but he embarrased himself there. his head went yep, again, no need. especially to still be mouthing off to alonso after final whistle. save it for the dressing room.
McBain Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Paradoxically i thought that was Carra's best performance for a while
Falconhoof Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Jamie Carragher "We can't win the league but we like to keep a clean sheet. I thought all day we were a bit lackadaisical. They had too many chances. Pepe Reina is going for the record, I think he can match Van der Sar, so we are doing that for Pepe."
aka Dus Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Jamie Carragher "We can't win the league but we like to keep a clean sheet. I thought all day we were a bit lackadaisical. They had too many chances. Pepe Reina is going for the record, I think he can match Van der Sar, so we are doing that for Pepe." Brilliannt, and proper order.
Flight Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Well said, though he was lucky not to be sent off for raising his hands. Does he mean club record or Prem record ?
lfc4eva99 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) He means the Clean Sheet record on the league, which Pepe has won for the last 3 seasons, the Golden Glove. Edited May 17, 2009 by lfc4eva99

GWistooshort Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Rafa's comments from his post-match interview........... "The disagreement between my two players was because we wanted another clean sheet, we wanted 21. "I don't like what I saw, but I am trying to see the positive side of things. "We were looking to hit targets, a record points tally for the club of 83 and we achieved that. We wanted 13 away league wins which is also a record. "And we wanted another clean sheet and runners-up position. You could see why Jamie Carragher was like he was with Alvaro Arbeloa. "For me that is a positive message about the mentality of the team. We wanted to show character and a desire to win and be second, and stay as close as we could to Manchester United. "Arbeloa was going forward and we had some problems in defence, so we wanted to protect Jose Reina better, he has 20 clean sheets and (Edwin) Van der Saar has 21. That was important." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...f-Sir-Alex.html
