psl Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 He better kick the f*** out of some Chelsea players before we play them. He owes us.
Cam Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Are they using him at left back or left midfield? I'm one of the few that preferred him at LB but a spell at LM where he can get in a few more 100mph shots will buy him time with the fans. Oh, and no freekicks.
Ronnie Whelan Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 i'm saying nothing - link Jon has his left foot on the ball in that link and is somehow still managing to stand upright.
RP Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Now that surgeons have managed to successfully perform this operation, maybe John should get his name on the list for a right leg.
Flight Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Now that surgeons have managed to successfully perform this operation, maybe John should get his name on the list for a right leg. I wonder if 'it' will feel like someone else is doing it.
Bailo Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I wonder if 'it' will feel like someone else is doing it.Posting on YNWA?
Nerik Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Haven't followed him that much but Roma have had a s*** start to the season so it is not in the best of environments that he is trying to settle in.
RP Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Haven't followed him that much but Roma have had a s*** start to the season so it is not in the best of environments that he is trying to settle in. Unfortunately wherever he goes and whatever environment he tries to settle in, he's always going to be hindered by the fact he's a sh't monoped footballer.
Sion Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I'll always take pride in being one of the first of our fans to realise what a s***house he really is.
Ronnie Whelan Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Unfortunately wherever he goes and whatever environment he tries to settle in, he's always going to be hindered by the fact he's a sh't monoped footballer. I have to admire your brutal honesty RP.
RP Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I have to admire your brutal honesty RP. I can't forget that f'cking og.
Redkop Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Riise struggling in Rome Oh no... I am truly shocked............. NOT
CarraLegend Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I'm sure they'll be fine when Totti is back, he has great control so might be able to get to some Riise's long passes, if you can call them that.
psl Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I can't forget that f'cking og. I've been thinking about that a lot recently too actually. With that and Athens we could be on 7 by now...
Ronnie Whelan Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I've been thinking about that a lot recently too actually. With that and Athens we could be on 7 by now... For some that would still be overshadowed by us not challenging in the league.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I can't forget that f'cking og.c*** JAR that is - not RP. Although.....
carrafan Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 (edited) s*** happens. Gotta move on.. JAR gave us a lot of good moments too, along with the bad ones. He wasn't the first average player we had and wont be the last. I hope he does very well for Roma. No hard feelings at all for someone who gave us seven years of his career and over 250 games. MFletcher Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 He's the first average player who has cocked up in such an unbelievable fashion as to completely sour any legacy whatsoever he may have left. We'd have contested the final had he not headed that in. It pains me to think about it.
Shadow Moon Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 He's the first average player who has cocked up in such an unbelievable fashion as to completely sour any legacy whatsoever he may have left. We'd have contested the final had he not headed that in. It pains me to think about it.That is what pains me too. Yes of course I ought to forgive and move on, blah blah. But I think some people need to understand that getting into a Champions League Final is incredibly difficult. Even if you take Rafa and Liverpool's recent track record. 2 finals in 3 years, and 3 semis in 4 years is a very rare period of consistency. Touch wood, but who's to say that the team will be able to enter another CL final in the next five to ten years? There are lots of other good teams in each year's competition. Look at Man U, they next reached another final nine years after their win in 1999. This is why the Riise own goal will piss me off for a long time yet. Because, in spite of all the good things that may happen to the team from now on, we may still not reach another final, and not for want of trying.
John am Rhein Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 John Arne Riise - f*cking sh*t Good Riddance
Falconhoof Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Its a wonder he stayed with us so long. Very limited footballer.
Bootle Buck Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Finally being found out for the Sunday League Fottballer he really is. If it weren't for his early scorchers he would have been long gone. Destined to be in the Norwegian League in a year.
cymrococh Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 If he went to Celtic or Rangers he'd have a great time.
