Not much notice for people to make arrangements. Wonder how many tickets are unsold.

if you think around 5 - 6,000 you might be close.

28,000 there?

Yep, and that is about what I was thinking it looked like.

Empty seats pretty much everywhere, even the odd few in the Kop.

People couldn't sell tickets for £15 outside, I had two to shift (only ever sell them at face value on the rare occasions I have spares) and managed to get rid of them just before kick off to to Turkish fellas who were made up and kept on jabbering in my ear about Istanbul all night!

Why was the attendance so much lower than, say, the Cardiff game last year?

The official attendance was 30k I think - not good really. It annoys me that these decisions about cash turnstiles are made so late in the day, they must know two or three days before that they are not geoing to sell all the tickets. It'd be great if they did eth caseh sales at a discount to encourage the loacls who suposedly never get a chance to go becsue of eth pricing but then I suppose it sets a dangerous precedent that people generally might not buy tickets in case they go on sale late for £10 less than the face value.....

Had 41,780 against Cardiff last year with the same ticket prices

Was it really the same prices? I remember it being a bit cheaper

It should be remembered that Cardiff brought bloody loads last season. Sold out there end and had lots in the Cenny as well.

There was also the Fowler factor

How much were kids tickets this time btw?

Don't see how paying on the gate is a factor. The ticket office is open anyway

At an average price of £25 the club got more money from 29,000 than if they had 45,000 in there paying £15.

Just looked, Adults were £24. Kids were £12

How do you get an average of £25 from that????
