sutty Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 So is our own RP Not often he gets to have sex and footbal on the same night
Alonso Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 IIRC Mascherano is suspended for this game after reaching 5 yellows. Reina Finnan Carragher Hyypia Aurelio Lucas Xabi Gerrard Benayoun Babel Torres Altho I'd expect Kuyt and Kewell to play (probably for Lucas and Babel) as they didn't start at the weekend.
AE Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Lawrenson is tipping West Ham to beat us. We have a chance then!
dodgy1 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Lawrenson is tipping West Ham to beat us. Why wouldn's he, we are s***.
The_Adder Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Reina Finnan Carragher Hyypia Aurelio Lucas Xabi Gerrard Benayoun Babel Torres Its reeeeally weird cause its that kind of formation I'd play every week and think those players fit it damn well - and yet Rafa never goes with it, even though its what he played with at Valencia?! Quite Baffling, espesh when you see Voro and Kuyt playing instead of it?!
Hassony Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Its reeeeally weird cause its that kind of formation I'd play every week and think those players fit it damn well - and yet Rafa never goes with it, even though its what he played with at Valencia?! Quite Baffling, espesh when you see Voro and Kuyt playing instead of it?! Its baffling that Rafa doesn't share the same views with you?
The_Adder Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Its baffling that Rafa doesn't share the same views with you? NAIL>ON>THE>HEAD>SON!! Glad you made it. Do you share the view that Voro or Big Dirk are/would be a more effective option?
Hassony Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 NAIL>ON>THE>HEAD>SON!! Glad you made it. Do you share the view that Voro or Big Dirk are/would be a more effective option? I would start with torres and Kuyt tomorrow Babel has been rubbish in most games that he has started in
Ronnie Whelan Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Giving what we now know of Rafa are the Valencia referrences void?
Rimbeux Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Giving what we now know of Rafa are the Valencia referrences void? Clearly, four years and people are waiting for the Valencia model, when he always said it was about Aimar...
sutty Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Be nice to get a win and get the football side of things somewhere near the tracks again
Ronnie Whelan Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Clearly, four years and people are waiting for the Valencia model, when he always said it was about Aimar... Sure. Also considering the formation and tactics tend to change depending on the opposition. That particular Valencia formation worked in Spain, with Aimar as the focal point. I dont think Rafa is trying to reproduce that here.
Andy @ Allerton Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Not remotely optomistic about the West Ham game - best we can hope for is probably a score draw. And if I'm wrong you can pickle a cherry and call me Godzilla.
psl Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 We need to start winning games again to ensure 4th. Hopefully tomorrow will be the start.
Stevie H Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 We need to start winning games again to ensure 4th. Hopefully tomorrow will be the start.if we don't get something at upton park and everton beat spurs at home. . .
Rex Ham Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 We'll beat West Ham. There wont be much in it, the odd goal, but we'll win.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Ah sh@t, I thought this was the re-arranged game and we were at home ! Same as A@A, I am not overly optimistic about 3 pts but would be disgusted if we lost, could turn out like 2005 all over again involved in a battle with Everton.
Tosh Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 could turn out like 2005 all over again involved in a battle with Everton. We had a little solace elsewhere though
Ben 23 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I would start with torres and Kuyt tomorrow You joking? Crouch every time...
honourablegeorge Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 You joking? Crouch every time... Don't think Crouch has offered much lately, as it goes. I'd stick Yossi up front with Torres, give Pennant a game on the right, Babel left. Gerrard and Alonso central. We will, of course, do none of the above.
