Do you think Stevie G will end his career here?

He'll definitely be here for the next few seasons but I could seeing him seeking a move if we don't win the League in the next few seasons. I think he would move abroad though if anything.

I don't think he'll ever feel fulfilled until he wins the league with us. When he does I could see him leaving after his peek for a swan song somewhere "foreign" He'll be past his best then so it'll be fine, kinda like Shevchenko.

Who knows. If we go into a tailspin and start competing on the level of Newcastle or Villa, anything is possible. If we need the money, who knows. If he suffers a physical decline that takes his edge away, who knows. Hope he does end his career here, successfully.

Swap him for Kaka. Gerrard would suit the Milan kit, and vice-versa.

I believe that he should at some point go abroad, but doubt he ever will.

:o:D

He will stay now IMO.

I reckon that spiel Carra gave him about 'winning medals elsewhere, when you come, who'll give a sh*t?' got to him as much as anything. I don't see him leaving - I see him trying to write his way into the record books as our greatest ever player by the time he finishes.

I remember reading (in his autobiography?) that he said he doesn't want to ever play abroad.

Well, that's only fair. He is a male footballer.

Thought it was his dad?

No.

His body language tells me he'll move to a new club on July 19th as he'll be unimpressed with Martin O'Neill's early training sessions.

That's the scenario I think would see Gerrard moving on. i.e. we sack Benitez, replace him with some non-achiever like Allardyce or Curbishley, and drop to the level of striving to get into the UEFA Cup.

Would he fit in anywhere else though? Obviously he's talented enough, but would he like being part of a team where he's not the undisputed leader? I dont mean to say that he's got a huge ego but rather than he seems to need an arm around his shoulder every now and again to show him that he's important to the club.

On a personal level, if he did go to play in Spain or Italy then i think the tactical discipline that he'd have to learn would improve his game enormously.

Saying all that, I think and hope that he's here for keeps now.

Could be - thought it was Carra - I remember HR saying something about his Dad throwing a Chelsea shirt at him and having a pop though.
