Malouda would you take him now?

After Malouda saying Mourinho was a huge factor in him choosing Chelsea he may be considering leaving now the special one is gone, would you be happy if Rafa went back in for him?

From what ive seen of him at Chelsea hes been their best player in most games and would certainly strengthen the left side which i still think is a problem position.

So how about we sell Crouch, Babel is used primarily as a forward so we have the 4 forwards to choose from and Malouda plays on the left.

Of course this is unlikely to happen but would you be happy to let Crouch go to sign another left sided player (maybe Queresma) and use Babel as Crouch's replacement?

Chelsea don't have to sell anyone unless they want to, so all these sort of questions are pointless.

He'd spend his contract in the reserves before they sell to us.

All talk of players leaving is daft, they'll forget about him when the payslip comes in.

Rafa made it clear he went there for the wedge. Mourinho staying or going wont make a bit of difference

We need a left footer in Jan though

How about selling Crouch to sign some like Quaresma?

think we can still improve in the wide positions, Babel shows promise but i think he prefers to drift wide rather that have a starting position out there.

Of course selling Crouch means we lose someone that offers something we can't replace, especially in Europe where he is very effective, but its been apparent with Torres how much slicker we can play with pace in the side, if we can add that real quality wide i think its worth losing Crouch who seems unhappy anyway.

I think he mainly went because Mourinho and Drogba went to work on him, and it's hardly like he joined West Ham or Newcastle instead

I'd sign him, then send the c*nt on loan to Sc***horpe to teach him a lesson for choosing Chelsea ahead of our great club in the first place which is bloody sacrilege.

He's clearly a good player but I don't think Rafa is into people who turn him down, nor do Chelsea need to sell so it's about as likely as Shane McGowan winning a 'most handsome man' contest.

Only seen him against Brum, Us and Villa, against Brum he was very good, against us and Villa I thought he was woeful. Didn't want him in the first place and not really seen much to change my mind though its early days. Dunno about selling Crouch, we're going along just fine so dont really see a need for any changes yet though obviously if theres a player out there available that can improve us then yeah do it.

In terms of the type of player we need, yeah i'd take him.

As George said above, we need an out-and-out winger and that's what he is.

Find it strange that we didnt sign an 'out and out winger' in the summer, espesh when its been bloody obvious we need one. Simao, Queresma, Mancini all look good to go (Simao obviously did go).

I'm very glad we got Babel mind you, think he might we much better further up field, doesnt seem to suit it out on the left.

apart from the first two games (where he played very well)he has been struggling with chelsea, and he has said that he hasn't really settled in london

I rate Quaresma, but I think he needs a hell of a lot of coaching to achieve his potential, at 23 there is a chance but at 23m that kind of implies the finished article and he's not that.

I dont think he had the luck of Ronaldo in getting into the right team at the right time, but I think he could come good. for 12m I would give it a go but at 23m I would want C Ronaldo

SiGn MoRe TaIgS!

Malouda has been decent on the whole, but not great. Also given his comments and then Rafa's put down, it's a non-starter.

We may need a left footer, but if Aurelio can stay fit (let alone Kewell) then we're reasonably covered for now. It's OK signing Queresma, Simao, Mancini etc - but if their clubs want silly money or the player doesn't want to leave his homeland or comfort zone - you're stuffed. Buying quality specialist players is always difficult and expensive as they are so few of them for the top end 10-20 or so European clubs.
