Second game in a row - absolutely crap.

Once again he loked like he was drugged.

He hasn't played this badly since September/October 2005.

He's just bringing his price down so its more realistic for Rafa.

Yep. I reckon Rafa has a contact in Seville who is spiking Alves' food with 'don't give a sh*t no more' potion. Otherwise known as the Kaka Solution

Navas has now got back to his pre-injury form - his pace is back and he's taking more people on

Problem is Juande Ramos is now playing him more and more as a centre forward rather than an out and out winger

Ramos loves his attacking play doesn't he ?

Navas and Alves look great down the right, imagine Alves and Gerrard or for pure fantasy football Alves and Lennon

I read somewhere today he's now rated at 18M or something ridiculous like that.

And that a bunch of top teams are checking on him....

Are we near another transfer window ??

Barcelona have accused Sevilla of being 'outrageous' in their demands for Daniel Alves.

The Brazilian is a transfer target for the Spanish champions, who have not settled on a regular right-back this season.

Juliano Belletti, Oleguer and Gianluca Zambrotta have all taken turns in the position, but Barca want to add to their options with the summer acquisition of Alves.

However, Sevilla's value of the defender appears to contrast wildly with Barca's, who feel their title rivals have been spoilt by recent transfers.

Barca sporting director Txiki Beguiristain confirmed the club's interest in Alves, but outlined his unhappiness with the figures being quoted.

"It's outrageous what they are asking for," Beguiristain told radio station RAC 1.

"They have become accustomed to such figures because of the fees they got for Reyes, Baptista and Ramos."

Meanwhile, Beguiristain also reiterated that the club will not be bidding for Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer.

The Portugal international has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou, but Barca will only make a bid if they lose one of their own star players.

Beguiristain added: "He's a good player, but we haven't made any move to try and sign him.

"If none of our big players move then Cristiano Ronaldo won't be coming here."

It's outrageous Sevilla asking for a large amount of money for a player they have under contract.

He's under contract with them, they can ask whatever the f*ck they want mate. If you don't want to pay it, p*ss off elsewhere.

We should build an ALVES-O-METER on this site.

To graphically show one of the following :-

1/ # of times per day Alves linked to LFC

2/ Estimated Market value vs. Transfer Window proximity

3/ Number of threads Alves mentioned in..... :tumbleweed:

explain that logic !

Are you implying that Sevilla wont want to sell to a Spanish club ?

We would still face stiff competition from a number of clubs overhere that have ..... " loadsa money ! "

Del Nido would rather have Alves over in the UK than have him in Catalunia

Just a damn pity we could up the ante a bit last summer. Could have saved ourselves a lot in the long run + we probably would be a lot further up the league now.

I think they were just f***ing us around last summer, we would have had to up it by more than a few million to get him, we'd have had to pay silly money.

You'd like to think we'd have a better shot at getting him this summer with our new cash injection but Barca getting involved maybe is gonna make it tricky for us though..

His agent has been asked by Milan and Madrid to name his terms too
