I really don't understand the criticism of his dealing with crosses the other night. Dealt with them all apart from one in the second hal where he mis punched.

Cleared the area apart from that one on some decent bloody crosses.

The only difference the other night was how often the crosses where coming in from close to the touchline. They got round the back on their right far too many timkes, and Reinas strenght is dealing with a high defensive line. You cant defend high when the winger is round the back and maybe we aren't that good central defense in dealing with it.

But Pepe did all he was asked to especially first half.

Look at the rest ofthe league and not many keepers come for a ball on the edge of the 6 yard box with perhaps the exception of Van der Sarr who has great height and agility.

it'd affect any keepers form & confidence having those 4 guys in front of him masquerading as our defence for the last 30 mins

Why does this "always" happen to Liverpool keepers?!

Our keepers seem to start out well, but gradually they get worse.

Same thing happend with James and Dudek as well.

Of course Reina can still turn it around, but I'm afraid he won't..

Don't think he did much wrong today. The first one was deflected IMO, and the second was just a top notch header.

 

Of course because he's not produced flying saves here there and everywhere (mainly because he's not had to) and not assisted 4 goals, he'll now be chastised.

As it happened on wednesday, the cross was far too easily allowed by our full backs. Add poor defending from Carra, Reina or whoever and teams will profit from it.

There's no need for it at all.

 

He has sailed close to the wind on more than a few occasions recently when kicking from the edge of the box. Was only a matter of time until some jobsworth linesman called him up for it. Just didn't expect it to be when he clearly didn't handle it outsside the box. He was a yard and a half inside it when he let go of the ball.

if we are playing away from home and the home supporters start noticing he's close to going outside the area and are having a f***ing moan about it...it's onlya matter of time before the officials start questioning it....bit like if your players been fouled - as supporters you kick up a fuss and sooner or later the officials bow and give u the decisions...thats football.

spot on. so what if he does this every game or every 10 mins during a game. he did not do it today and some wassoch of a linesman thought he would be the center of attention and flagged for something he was not even in line with. hopefully, that jackass will be kicked off the list for PL games.

 

for the free kick, he was looking for the curl over the wall, not a daisy cutter on the other side. personally, I think the manager has to stop this messing about with back 4. if he has a favorite back 4, play it until someone is hurt or suspended. it is the one part of the team that has to have consistency in order to instil confidence in the keeper. if playing 4 all the time pi$$es somebody off, it is tough and they have to deal with it.
