Ronnie Whelan Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Where has he gone and who is this guy that has replaced him?
Eskimo Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I don't think he could have done much to stop the goals and apart from that he did ok...
Guest Ant Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 1 Pepe 2 Pepe 3 Pepe ReinaHe conceded 2 goals from some teamaWere not assed coz he's our keeperHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Pepe Reina No seriously thopugh nothing he could do about the goals, punches went abit skee wiff but the of the defence got to him
Guest RedIsMyColour Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I have lost confidence in him, he looks very dodgy on crosses.
chrisbonnie Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 he made a decent save in the first half, had no chance with the 2 goals, but he did look dodgy on a few crosses its got to be said i wouldnt be surprised if he was dropped for the long ball bung masters in bolton
Alonso Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 he made a decent save in the first half, had no chance with the 2 goals, but he did look dodgy on a few crosses its got to be said i wouldnt be surprised if he was dropped for the long ball bung masters in boltonAs opposed to Dudek, that renowed powerful keeper who comes confidently and claims everything knocking people out the way?!
Rimbeux Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 he made a decent save in the first half, had no chance with the 2 goals, but he did look dodgy on a few crosses its got to be said i wouldnt be surprised if he was dropped for the long ball bung masters in bolton Because that's Dudek's strength of course

Dealt with them all apart from one in the second hal where he mis punched.Cleared the area apart from that one on some decent bloody crosses. The only difference the other night was how often the crosses where coming in from close to the touchline. They got round the back on their right far too many timkes, and Reinas strenght is dealing with a high defensive line. You cant defend high when the winger is round the back and maybe we aren't that good central defense in dealing with it. But Pepe did all he was asked to especially first half.Look at the rest ofthe league and not many keepers come for a ball on the edge of the 6 yard box with perhaps the exception of Van der Sarr who has great height and agility.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 it'd affect any keepers form & confidence having those 4 guys in front of him masquerading as our defence for the last 30 mins
bullfrog Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Why does this "always" happen to Liverpool keepers?!Our keepers seem to start out well, but gradually they get worse. Same thing happend with James and Dudek as well. Of course Reina can still turn it around, but I'm afraid he won't..
Reggie Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 (edited) Time to give Jerzy a run. Pepe's positioning for the free kick was gash. Edited September 30, 2006 by Reggie
Ste M Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Don't think he did much wrong today. The first one was deflected IMO, and the second was just a top notch header. Of course because he's not produced flying saves here there and everywhere (mainly because he's not had to) and not assisted 4 goals, he'll now be chastised.
Gerrardrules Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 As it happened on wednesday, the cross was far too easily allowed by our full backs. Add poor defending from Carra, Reina or whoever and teams will profit from it.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 He is f***ing gash, get Dudek in or get Carson back. f***in lobbed by a header, and for some reason unbeknownst to everyone but him diving were the wall was protecting and letting the ball just go in where he was actually supposed to be diving.
New York Red Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 (edited) That free kick has been coming for ages. He has been perilously close to handling it outside the area tons of times and I'm surprised that Rafa hasn't said anything to him about it. I've Tivo'd it before and played it in slow motion, and he's handled it a few times. There's no need for it at all. Edited September 30, 2006 by New York Red
Swipe Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 His effort on the freekick really was atrocious goalkeeping. What was he doing??
Guest RedLegend Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 That free kick has been coming for ages. I've Tivo'd it before and played it in slow motion, and he's handled it a few times. There's no need for it at all. He has sailed close to the wind on more than a few occasions recently when kicking from the edge of the box. Was only a matter of time until some jobsworth linesman called him up for it. Just didn't expect it to be when he clearly didn't handle it outsside the box. He was a yard and a half inside it when he let go of the ball.
Billy Dane Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I thought someone in the wall got a touch on the free kick, but as Andy Gray wasn't chortling about it, I assumed I was mistaken.
Rimbeux Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I thought someone in the wall got a touch on the free kick, but as Andy Gray wasn't chortling about it, I assumed I was mistaken. I thought it touched Sami, and was looing like hitting Reina on the legs till then
Guest Jack Bauer Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Didn't touch Sami at all, Sami let it go because it was a fairly simple stop for Reina to make.
owenthomas Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 serious question: are people kidding with this "he's been close to handling outside the area, only a matter of time before a free kick was given"? if not then what on Earth are you on about?!?!?!? he didn't handle outside the area.. regardless of how close he goes to the edge he didn't go out and so it weren't a free kick so what's this "matter of time" s*** about? now if he'd have gone outside the area then yeah, say something, but he didn't.. if you are kidding then please start putting a or a or something cos i don't know who's taking the piss here today.. the site's gonna crash again at this rate..
Hassony Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Didn't touch Sami at all, Sami let it go because it was a fairly simple stop for Reina to make.than its sami's fault, his job is to block the ball
Guest Jack Bauer Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 But if he put his foot out, it could easily have deflected into the net it was traveling at such a pace. If Reina had dived the right way, it would have been saved. Instead he just does this falling over thing behind the wall. f***ing gash.
Lark Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 if we are playing away from home and the home supporters start noticing he's close to going outside the area and are having a f***ing moan about it...it's onlya matter of time before the officials start questioning it....bit like if your players been fouled - as supporters you kick up a fuss and sooner or later the officials bow and give u the decisions...thats football. but why does reina take the ball right to the f***ing line...to punt it up the pitch an extra yard when 9 times outta ten leads to nothing, ending up on the defenders head.
