Cobs Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 (edited) Because they lack the pace to play together and whenever Fowler and Crouch have played together they've never put in a decent performance. they were fine against Bolton & WBA at the end of last season Edited September 18, 2006 by Cobs
jimmylibel Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Think Bellamy will be bursting a gut to play on Wednesday.
dodgy1 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 ReinaFinnan Carra Agger WarnockPennant Sissoko Gerrard GonzalezBellamy Kuyt Is the right answer
Cobs Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 Think Bellamy will be bursting a gut to play on Wednesday.agree i'd start with him & Crouch up front
Swipe Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Think Bellamy will be bursting a gut to play on Wednesday. Agree. That's why i'd stick with him and kuyt. Our former players always seem to score against us, so lets see if it works the other way too! Keep the pair of them up front, and get Gerrard into the middle. That's what i'd do.
Earl Hafler Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 agree i'd start with him & Crouch up front They've not been played enough as a partnership. Looks to me like they'd be perfect for each other. Alan Hansen could then dust down his " pace and pooower " clichés.
stressederic Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Didn't Robbie play predominantly upfront with either Morientes or Cisse at the back end of last season?

The key to beating them is to get as much pressure on the centre of their defence.
Hector McDougal Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Given being out is a huge bonus. He often saves them from getting thrashed.
Dan Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Stick with Kuyt and Bellamy. The goals are bound to come sooner or later and they are still developing an understanding which has shown flashes of brilliance at times in the last few games.
muleskinner Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Need a strong showing from Finnan on Wed night. Duff will be a big test for him at the moment. Hopefully Agger will get to continue his good form up against Martins and Ameobi.
D.Boon Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Time to give Pennant a rest. Gerrard right, Gonzalez left.

Guz Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 . Not if that 3rd striker is a newcastle central defender
