alias75 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Cos after this world cup his value is going to sky rocket. sorry wrong forum...
Barnesy_10 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Won't be able to afford him anyway.aye, couldn't afford him before, let alone after
Boca Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Ballague seems to think he's nailed on to go to the mancs.
chrisbonnie Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i think Graham hunter thinks that as well sickens me that we cant bid for anybody with a reputation, but whinging wont do anything about it
Barnesy_10 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i think Graham hunter thinks that as well sickens me that we cant bid for anybody with a reputation, but whinging wont do anything about it agree completely.... Though at this moment in time I would rather have a proven PL striker, after all, plenty on here have said negative things about Torres' performances last season... though no doubt a good world cup will not do him any harm.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I'd prefer if the Mancs had Torres to RVN though.
Lee W Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Well if he does goes to the Mancs that'll mean they'll be waving goodbye to van Nistlerooy, who is by far and above the better player. Sounds good to me.
chrisbonnie Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 am the only one worried about the mancs getting him? ill give that whiskey nosed b*****d ferguson his due, he generally gets his striking pruchases spot on, now, they scored alot more than us last year, finished 3 points clear, and that was with a "supposed" s*** utd team, surely the addition of a young energetic talent in torres will widen that gap, just a bit mind excuse my ignorance, but im s***ting it i need reassurance, whose got the biggest buxoms i can wallow in?

Guest Jack Bauer Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 As has been said, RVN is a better player and has always been the one to pop up with a few goals when they most need them. The most annoying thing is that he spreads his goals throughout the season rather than scoring in bursts.
chrisbonnie Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 sorry, 1 point, but they`ve now strenghtened, and usually, that whiskey nosed f*** sings quality up front, thats the bit im worrying about, so thats now granny shagger and Torres up front, are you seriously telling me thats not scary, compard to say, Peter Crouch and Robbie Fowler?
smokescreen Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Just posted this in the General footy forum... --- Love the Torres goal against Betis, one of the best over the shoulder volleys I have ever seen... Just well impressed with his range of finishing in general... he has the lot. Tap ins, volleys, lobs, screamers... --- The one thing I dont want to have to do is hate him... hope if he goes anywhere but us it isnt the Mancs
smokescreen Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 He's no Viduka He isnt even a quarter of Viduka...
ChrisC Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 am the only one worried about the mancs getting him? ill give that whiskey nosed b*****d ferguson his due, he generally gets his striking pruchases spot on Er hang on, Saha, Forlan? Both s*** and / or overpriced.

Both s*** and / or overpriced. Forlan, top scorer in spain last year and now has a bid price-tag, Saha, not great, but still scores a s*** load more than Crouch, now im wound up, im knit picking, im just so annoyed we couldnt even bid for someone like that, its always bargain basement its like going shopping for trainers when you`re a kid with your mam, you just know she never looks at the Nikes at the top of the shelf, nope, its the shoddy Mizunos down the bottom for 30 quid instead, sure, they`ll last the same time, but you`ll get slaged in school the next day, you know what i mean?
Spike Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i'd much rather the mancs buy a trophy striker rather than buy someone they actually need. The more money they spend in the wrong areas the better imo.

He will be starved of service from their ancient and placcy midfield, who would struggle to open up a can of peas
stressederic Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I would love to see Torres in a Liverpool shirt.
chrisbonnie Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 He will be starved of service from their ancient and placcy midfield, who would struggle to open up a can of peas i bloody well hope so, i knew we wouldnt ever get him, but the mancs, of all w*****s he had to go to them
Rushian Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 That's the best I've seen Torres play in ages. Thought he had a very disappointing season at Atletico.
Snakebite Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i'd much rather the mancs buy a trophy striker rather than buy someone they actually need. The more money they spend in the wrong areas the better imo.I'd rather they bought a ceremonial striker
