  1. Spurs build a new stadium, We build a new stand...
  2. Fair play to the lad. Amongst the many horrendous memories of Spurs away this season, one that was etched on my mind was Milner trying to track back with Son, but being absolutely left for dead pace-wise, leading up to one of their goals. I thought then that his midfield career was over, that he had reached that stage where although the brain was telling him what to do, that the body was just too slow to respond now. But how good has he been recently, absolutely fantastic.
  3. "Werner being mentioned to us in BILD again." Unlikely that RB Leipzig would sell both Keita and Werner in the same summer, surely?
  4. Filing it under "One of them", just made harder by who we lost to. Yes, we struggled to break them down, yes they shackled Salah effectively, and yes we missed Coutinho yesterday. But There is no way that they won because of a Mourinho masterclass. It took the ref being blind to numerous decisions - penalties, second yellows - and desperate defending to stop us, allied to a large amount of luck for their second (although obviously that applies to our goal too). They had two shots on target in the game, and none in the second half. Although they may have won this particular battle, there was plenty on sight to suggest that we are on the up, in my opinion.
  5. The sooner they bring in a rule about the ball must be in open play for 75/80 minutes per game or whatever, then the sooner the demise of Mourinho.
  6. "Allez Les Rouges" following St Etienne in 1977 is an early European classic Despite a troubling lack of verbs, I like the "Allez, Allez" song in the OP.
  7. Either home team first or what Boca says. Would never otherwise put us first if we were away.
  8. Thought both he and Trent were relatively restrained yesterday - both had chances to bomb on that you would have expected them to take, but both paused and passed back. Trent more than Andy Robertson, perhaps. I wondered if it was on orders?
  9. Thought the game was made for Sturridge today, as it turned out. As we were pretty much camped in their box his lack of pace wouldn't really have mattered, but his fast feet could well have opened them up.
  10. Livermore has only just been dealt with, and he was before Holgategate, wasn't he? So, same amount of time being taken. As to why they are so slow, no idea, but there is nothing to say that Firmino has been treated extra slowly, thus far?
  11. He's had his chance, I think. Klopp effectively made him his first choice and then very soon went back to Mignolet. Tells you all you need to know,
  12. That makes absolutely zero sense and just sounds like a s***e PR tactic for the fans - "We tried everything, even asking if they would loan us him back for the season".
  13. And again points to not having a replacement already lined up? This isn't going to end well. If you are interested in the success of the football team, that is.
  14. The game was 1:1 As tight as you like Then up pops the head of Virgil Van Dijk Oh Everton We’re all laughing at you Song de jour in The Halfy afterwards.
  15. Didn't loads move down there back in Thatcher's day when they would pay your dole anywhere? Boscombe, was it, a bit of a Scouse enclave? A long time ago now, mind.
  16. Linked to Coutinho leaving then, or not?
  17. The fellah next to me is on the point of giving himself a heart attack. Seriously.
  18. Was that when you paid on the gate it wasn't for entry to the Ground, but to purchase a piece of paper - teamsheet maybe? - that gave you complimentary entrance to the Ground, in order to comply with the Sunday Trading Laws?
  19. Left back is a problem for this one: Stick with Moreno, on the basis that he can't be that bad again? Or go for Milner, who is match savvy but slow. Or throw Robertson in? Think I'd go for Milner, but that memory from the Spurs game when Son ripped him for pace makes me uneasy with Hazard/Willian running at him on Saturday.
  20. It's probably on that list of things that they did first...

  23. Ours in the Main Stand. It was a talking point at half time. Seemed like a blatant refusal by Coutinho to pass to Robertson on several occasions when Robertson was in plenty of space and able to move forward.
  24. Not to Robertson, anyway. Please tell me that Coutinho's refusal to pass to Robertson on numerous occasions in the first half was something more than because he (Coutinho) is Moreno's mate! Ironic cheers when he finally did, early in the second half.
