So seems like solskjaer has a stay of execution but wonder for how long? Realistically the only 2 managers available now are conte and zidane but if they stick with him until the summer then maybe some other options open up like the Ajax boss, potchetino maybe even Southgate!! There have been a few suggestions that blanc could also be a consideration. None of those seem like managers who would be in it for the long haul or who could set the club on a sound foundation. Yes they may have some short term success in terms of cups but they need to restructure the whole set up. Hopefully we won’t be left in the same predicament when Edwards and klopp go.

So we’ll get in the order of 100m for him this summer and is already on 200+k a week. His replacement will likely be around 50m and on max 150k a week. Simple sums for the money men, even if we don’t get 100m they can easily reduce what we can spend on his replacement to make the profits work.

Alisson Fabinho will definitely come in. I’d also think about resting Virgil given his international commitments and playing Saturday too. Trent might need to be managed a bit given he’s just returning from injury. Good thing is that we can make 5 subs so can always manage things that way too.
