Those ones like Keita and Shaqiri will probably pay for the centre back(s) and midfielder(s). To get an attacker in the price bracket of sancho we’ll have to generate the funds from a sale just like it’s always been. Can’t see there being much more than £20m additional money being made available by fsg given covid and the probable lack of champions league.
With a centre back or two needed and a midfielder as well to replace Gini, no way on earth we’re affording someone in the price bracket of sancho in attack.
He’s had a poor season by all accounts, really struggled with form and lost his place in the France squad. Could be one to get for a good price and build back up or was the initial burst on the scene a one off?
I saw an article by Henry winter and apparently no premier league rules have been broken as the game was called off for safety reasons. That was all the detail that was given though
Konate and kabak will cost around 50m, to get in midfield targets like bissouma and aouar say will cost about 70/80m so to get an attacker or two as well seems like there’s no choice but to sell one of the current front 3. There is a lot of deadwood to sell but will there be buyers out there for them or offer what we’re prepared to accept?
We’d then need 4 to come in as attackers though cos that leave Salah and Jota as quality attacking options.
Thing is say we sell mane we’ll need two players to replace him one on the starting line up and one as cover. We’re criminally short of forward options as it is. I just can’t see us getting that many players in as we also need to address cb, cm as well as attack. Ideally 2 in each area but really don’t see that many coming in happening even though it’s probably what’s needed.

EXCLUSIVE: #LFC chief executive Billy Hogan’s planned address to club staff this morning cancelled at full-time last night. Plan had been to flesh out Super League proposals that are facing strong opposition both internally and externally.
Could this be stopped by players and or managers opposing it? Could they boycott playing/managing the clubs if it goes through? Seems they have the power to prevent this on the face of it...if they want to of course.
Even if it is true, it’s probably more likely to be a sale, Keita, Elliot on loan, matip etc. Just cannot see us splashing the kind of cash it’d require for sancho let alone haaland.
Or our system adapts as you’ll never find two players who are exactly alike. You could also argue that we need to change slightly too as teams know how to set up against us now.
Or do we get a young right back in (Aarons for example) and give him a year to transition in and Trent to maybe transition into midfield similar to what lahm and kimmich have done at Bayern.
I think the issue with clauses is that they have to be paid upfront (see Werner example). With kabak we can probably spread payment over the next 50 years in minimal instalments.
Not to fsg it doesn’t and therein lies the issue. All these fanciful ideas we’ve got for sancho haaland mbappe are way off even off by some miracle we do qualify to the champions league next season. Far more likely it’ll be kabak bissouma and raphinha with Elliot back from loan will be like “a new signing”
Yet real are still responsible for three of the highest fees ever paid (Ronaldo bale and hazard) and spent crazy amounts given their age and experience on Vinicius and Rodrigo (£80m in total for 2 18 year olds)
Could quite easily see it being kabak in at centre back unless we send him back and keep Davies as 4th choice. Then bissouma in midfield with daka and raphinha as options for the front 3.
I think level of the league/opponents has to be taken account when we see Bayern and real smash lower placed sides. Look what we did to the second best side in Germany for example.
Only ones I’ve heard of lately are quansah a young cb who’s been capped at England u18 level and captain on the u18s. There’s also the polish and German midfielders we signed recently with the polish lad impressing by all accounts but he’s very young still. There’s also the ex city lad we’ve got balagazi who’s a highly rated midfielder.
