We’ve also been linked to gleison bremer of Torino (so too have Everton so we should sign him anyway just to annoy them !!). Only thing with konate is he’s had best part of a year out injured and only been back a few weeks. Various injuries but mainly hip I think.

Didn’t hear but the two which we’ve been linked with from Rennes are camavinga and Jeremy doku who signed for them in the summer. -
Yeah could be a good opportunity for some match fitness for those returning but might not be worth the additional risk of international travel for any first teamers.

Think it’s got to be something like: alisson williams matip Williams robbo henderson Fabinho jones mane firmino salah with Jota and Gini options too. You’d then expect Tsimikas to come in for robbo at some point and maybe origi if we’re coasting. After that it’s petty much kids such as clarkson

Think we’ve got quite a few players with question marks over their heads be it fitness (matip Keita ox shaq) or ability (neco minamino origi). Will be interesting to see how these are addressed come the summer and how virg and Gomez come back following pretty serious injuries.

If all goes to plan and he develops into a starter for us I wonder by the time he’s ready for that then we may well have a different system anyway. Maybe with a haaland type striker as more of a focal point so his creativity and passing will be more suited rather than the current pace/directness we have with our wide players

Mane playing 90 last night wasn’t ideal either. Wonder if it’ll be Jota firmino salah to start as we’ll also want mane for a large chunk v Ajax on Tuesday as well. -

Dominik Szoboszlai who we’ve scouted and got an interest in is meant to be up for sale in January and has a E25m release clause although seems Arsenal are interested too. Auoar would be another option for us but think there’d be competition for his signature probably from city.

I mean if he’s got a negative test surely he’s free to play? Unless the rules state anyone who has had it have to isolate 10/14 days? The negative test may just allow him to travel back to the uk.

Get the best you can in jan and then assess come the end of the season. Koumetio or Williams could come good and Gomez and virg could be back or close to being so.

He’s had good reviews since joining Leverkusen and honegstein said in the summer that we’ve shown interest in him. Could be more gettable than some of the other targets.
