When I've sat right at the back of the Anny Road lower tier (the actual back row), I've not been able to see the Kop goal without ducking. Banging on the back wall was quite fun though.

Yep - not a chance we'd pay £35m for Carroll under usual circumstances. And not a chance that it wouldn't have taken a large bid like this to force Newcastle into selling. Madness. If he lays off the booze enough to play enough, he'll do very well here. If he can stay fit I can see him playing here for 10 years or so... That's only £3.5m a year+ wages for an absolute beast.
