  1. I've a feeling NESV won't sack Roy until they see real evidence of supporter unrest. At the moment, I betcha Roy is backing up Purslows assertion that the anti Roy crowd are being stirred up by SOS. Crowds naturally are down because of the recession, Christmas, the weather, the opposition (cat b games) and the travelling oppos low support. Our poor form will have something to do with it, but Liverpool fans don't turn on managers and they support the team through thick and thin, so it's not just the poor form that's reducing gates, it's the other factors which won't be changed by appointing another manager. They'll be saying the SOS are a nuisance and are a relic from the H&G days, like an Army that's not been demobbed and should be ignored unless they want to make them rods for their own backs. I can hear it all.
  2. Hodgson and Purslow out would be me in the pub all day...
  3. Even I laughed. I can't find it...
  4. Any bums got fingers in?
  5. He really does go the whole hog at c***ishness. Hodgson and Purlsow out?
  6. That's good enough for me. Let's all slap each other on the backs about how right we were then. Please forgive me all for thinking there was any lilly livered in the lot of yers.
  7. My perception was that plenty of people saw him as a viable proposition - maybe not who they'd want, but someone they'd accept.
  8. If the milk is in the bottle, I'll have two sugars with vodka and kahlua.
  9. I went looking for the thread the other day and couldn't find it. There were loads who were saying Hodgson would be their choice if Rafa was out. Loads. I got laughed at for saying that Rafa got more out of our squad last season than Hodgson his. I still stand by that.
  10. I got laughed at on here for suggesting that Hodgson wasn't for us, at all, ever, before he was appointed. I said he couldn't win away and that winning away is where the most valuable and expensive points are won. That's what killed us last season - we couldn't win or score away... we only scored a goal a game away last year, we scored at nearly 2 and a half at home. Hodgson was and is managerial poison to this squad. As I said at the time, Rafa got more value out of our squad, which was being f***ed on on high, than Hodgson did out of his, which he'd had for a few years and been encouraged to add to, but could still only manage 1 away win all season. We won 5. Who's laughing now? I'm still not.
  11. I can understand not wanting Agger to play 3 times in a week. Still doesn't mean Hodgson's not a c*** though. He's a real f***ing c***.
  12. We're getting t****** because our defence can't defend against strong and quick. We need to keep hold of the ball... and we won't with these tactics. It'll be worse now we're 1-0 down. I expect our players to get frustrated and possibly injured.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised to see them scramble a late winner.
  14. If I was Hodgson I'd be tempted to give it a rest and f*** the f*** off.
  15. It's a real grey area. I'd rather we lost and that resulted in his immediate sacking, I'd cheer Bolton on. But there's no guarantee of that. It's possible that NESV will stick with him regardless until May, What I'm pretty sure of is that if he's still here at the end of this season, there'll be no European football next season. Which will result in a total rebuild job. And that will be NESV's fault for not acting sooner.
  16. must... kill...
  17. Rafa was our best manager for 20 odd years. Sacked, whilst still having the backing of most of the support. A harsh edge on what is / was / and will be a harsh environment - managing Liverpool. It demands the best regardless. There would be no Rafa millstone for someone who was deserved of the job.
  18. I had an idea he was chatting s**** but couldn't really be bothered looking it up. Still, there's far too much footy... only goes to help the teams with BIG squads. Clubs that don't play in Europe usually only once a week, maybe twice, and usually then it's because of cup fixtures... where they do get the chance to rotate with some logic.

  20. It seems to me this year there seems to be more fixtures than ever over the festive period. I'm not sure if there actually is. But it seems that way. I've lost track days as usual and now find myself genuinely surprised that there's been fixtures. The weather and postponements have meant that less games have played than were scheduled. Still they seem to come too thick and fast. We've come off quite well this season, but if Steve Bruce is right (and I'm not suggesting he actually is) - Sunderland playing 5 games in 8 days is utterly ridiculous. 2 games in a week is bad enough with a squad of 20 or so. Which is what most of the premier league has.
  21. As chairman of LFC, if I didn't have a clear idea of who would be a good manager, I'd think I was in the wrong job.
  22. Merry Christmas Christian. Now please f*** off.
  23. f*** off Purslow. Take d****ead with yer.
  24. That's gotta be some sort of personal best...
