  1. "I've had these Y-fronts on for 35 years and I'm not about to change them now."
  2. Surely a defeat on Sunday will mean the end of this...
  3. RH chats s****. If you don't count Poulsen we've only got one centre mid.
  4. Turan's a good player. Skillful, quick, good dribbler, good set of lungs. Talismanic. Plays well at international level. Assists 1 in 2 and goals 1 in 5 for the last couple of seasons. Captain of Gala at 21. Says it's his dream to play for us. He's a no-brainer.
  5. Therin lies the conundrum. We need much more corporate, without being at detriment to the atmosphere - so more seats and tiered ticketing are needed to preserve that - in order to sell the corporates. It's hand in glove. We'd be fine with a 50,000-55,000 seater in terms of attendances, the hospitality is for the revenue, not the extra seats. Does Anfield have enough room for this? And will it provide the opportunity for naming rights that a new stadium would (I doubt it - both in terms of selling the rights and people being happy with it) And the lack of funds / grants etc.
  6. Actually - I'm not so sure. That clown took a team that finished 13th the season before to 6th in his first season. This clown is worse.
  7. Hodgson at Blackburn?
  8. Ha, that's a pretty bold call... But then I'm struggling to think of a) a club that should be able to attract a good a manager - that has had such a s*** one. b) a club that's sacked such a good manager to hire such a s*** one. If it was another club I'd be laughing my t*** off...
  9. He'll have to perform miracles. My goose is cooked. He'll have to uncook it for me to change my mind. That said I started from a position of "he's not good enough" before any results hardened my opinion about whether or not he should be manager of Liverpool.
  10. Really not very likely though is it? The real question is when the majority of people who want him out will start to soften. Some have softened with one win. A lot of others will soften if we can get a result vs Chelsea. He still won't be good enough. He's already proved that. I've still only spoken to one non-Liverpool fan who thinks he's not good enough. Everyone else thinks he's a good manager who'll turn things around. There are some who have real sympathy for the "mess" he'd been left.
  11. I'm looking to kick him - any reason will do fine. Results are the most important thing... and I can't see him bringing many good ones. Any good ones feel like they're prolonging the agony at the moment. He's a bad manager - the wrong appointment... It'll take a lot of results to convince me otherwise.
  12. We need to win by 3 goals to get out of the bottom 3...
  13. The third game in four with no goal and the seventh in a row with no win. We only scored against Blackpool at home in a game we lost... It doesn't read well at all... Good man. I only got on my high horse about Hodgson when it became clear it was realistic. Before then I couldn't believe he was a credible candidate. The man can't win an away game - he's never been able to. To do anything other than have the Europa League places as a glass ceiling teams need to able to win home and away in the Premiership. Draws away from home against anyone (not just Birmingham Roy...) are disappointing unless you don't have the requisite ambition - which he doesn't. What annoys me the most about his appointment is that it was by people who should understand more about statistics than they do about football - yet they obviously failed even to take a cursory glance at the league stats of his previous campaigns with other clubs.
  14. I'm maybe starting to come to terms that I'm not averse to us losing games if it means he's got rid of sooner. If he's still here in January I might have developed the 1000 yard stare.
  15. I hate the manager so much I can't see beyond it. Right now I need two positives. One to cancel out the negative and another one, you know, just so I can have a positive. Last night was neutral at best. A very pale neutral, whitewashed to make it blend in. A revert to type vs Blackburn on Sunday will surely see the back of him...
  16. Too true. Adequate is the right word considering the team and our squad. Hodgson's ruining football for me though - I failed to get a rush of blood when Babel was put through - and my stomach didn't turn when Konchesky cleared. I even ate my tea during the 2nd half. I never eat during the footy. Sometimes I won't even eat crisps in the pub during it. Something's gotta give. He's a nonsense the in the premier league though.
  17. Hiddink in until the end of the season would be a good move.
  18. 2 really good goals too - and not a bad peno from Eto'o
  19. £25 @ 6/1 gives £150 plus the stake back (£50 as it's £25 matched) = £200 not that hard to understand is it?
  20. Yes - 3/1 but with a £25 matched bet - a bet of £25 returns £200 so effectively 6/1
  21. I'm on at Corals. with a free matched bet for bets of £25 it's 6/1 he's the next manager in the premier league to leave. £25 quid returns £200...
  22. I'd just like to take the time to point out that I said Hodgson would be really s***.
  23. Is the right answer...
  24. Robbie Savage? Robbie Fowler? Robbie Earle? Robbie Keane? Robbie Williams?
  25. Rick Parry deserves the blame for us not finishing 1st. Him and Howard Webb.
