I went to a graduation this week. Hundreds of families in a tight indoor space, almost no-one wearing a mask. All the graduations were for nurses......

I'm sure Rob Jones played for us as a teenager. What a player he could have gone on to be.

You never know what you're going to get. He works his a*** off but when he has an off day he brings down the whole of the left sided attack. Front three have been less than the sum of its parts since he had a go at Salah a couple of seasons back on the pitch. I'd say it's time to cash in but I'm not sure who could replace him.

The Guardian dug up a document on the Super League site which is not now accessible. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/apr/19/revealed-unpublished-super-league-document-justifying-breakaway

Struggling to give a s*** about this. The game we grew up loving is long dead. Spent the last few days reading about how Mohammed bin Salman has been on the blower to Johnson getting him to enforce his buying of Newcastle goes through. I hate the money side of the game, I hate especially that J. P. Morgan are involved but on the bright side we'll have more control over our TV rights, which will get decent commentary and tactical analysis not to mention none of these f***ing awful English referees. Unless they employ McManaman in which case the whole thing is a s*** idea, obv.

Going to get upset if that gobs***e McManaman starts creaming his pant over Madrid again.

Surely got to be himself bidding on that.....

We went into the season with 3 CB's, two of them sick notes. Total failure of whoever holds the purse strings. Jurgen has made clear it's not him. It's an embarrassing record in our history that we've played months with our two best midfielders at CB.

Bona fide club legend now. Up there with the greats for me.

Hendo and Fab in midfield instead of Shaqiri and Gini (who seems to have decided he's leaving - his heads not in it) and we batter them yesterday. Criminal mistake by the board and Jurgen to go into the season with the options we had in defence, let alone not use this transfer window. Champions of Europe and the World over the last year, no excuse for it. Matip is a true sicknote and I had huge hopes for Gomez, but his injuries make it seem like his best days are behind him. They both need replacing. VVD is our only other CB of the level of Champions.

What's charity and upbringing got to do with whether someone talks s***e ?

Devastating. But with the massive consolation of where we are now I'm more gutted for Stevie that he never did it with us.

I know one of the doctors that works with the club. She's usually very discrete and professional but she let slip that a number of players have tested positive. Point of interest that afterwards they were suffering from significant deficiencies of folic acid and vitamin D, which she said was astonishing given how closely their diets are monitored. So if you're worried about the covid start taking folic acid and vit D supplements .....
