Surprise surprise, loads of anti-Hodgson comments on here after our reserve team secures qualification with a game to spare. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Sometimes it seems like a competition on this forum to see who is the most anti-Hodgson. It's pretty embarrassing.

That doesn't make any sense. My point was that we did enough to win the game, played well and were a bit unlucky. Sure we could have let in a couple had people not been on the line, but we could have also won a pen. A lot of people will use this result as another stick to beat Hodgson with, but on the strength of that performance, it's completely unjustified.

So you would have brought on a heartless waste of space in Babel rather than a quality player who keeps possession, can play in midfield, but is also able to offer protection to Konchesky, who was on a yellow card and was marking one of the trickiest wingers in the league? Hodgson has received a lot of criticism, most of it justified, but any criticism of him here is absurd. But then some of the stuff written about Hodgson on this forum is embarrassing. We were pretty unlucky today and had we taken our chances either side of half time and didn't have a ref who gave us nothing throughout the match, we'd have left WHL with 3 points. Not many sides will play as well as we did yesterday at their ground. Meireles and Lucas in particular were outstanding. Of course, all of that is going to be ignored by most of the people on here, who love to dig the knife into Hodgson at every opportunity, even when it is completely unjustified.

Broughton said they've been in discussions with NESV for weeks and met them several times in England and America. I doubt it's been rushed. These seem like shrewd guys who have no doubt been doing their due diligence, unlike those mugs, who proudly stated they did very little due diligence back in 2007. Broughton also said that discussions with potential purchasers would be done on the quiet, which has been proven to be correct.

I don't really know anything about Baseball, but from what I've read, the Boston Red Sox are managed very well.
