  1. I'm sick of seeing these kind of comments on the forum. It's embarrassing.
  2. So you'd play Johnson in a position he's never played? Madness!
  3. It was a dangerous tackle. If Nani hadn't have pulled out of it like the weasel he is, he could've been seriously hurt.
  4. I just cannot believe Johnson is on that kind of money. Surely no full back in world football is on that kind of money? Didn't he sign a new contract recently? I'd be staggered if the savvy new owners offered him that kind of salary when they said they are looking to trim the wage bill.

Completely agree with everything you have said.
  6. I fear you a right. They looked so comfortable at anfield until we scored and without Lucas, I really think skrtel and agger are going to be run ragged. This isn't a game to play Henderson in the middle. The game will pass him by as badly as it did against spurs away.

I just cannot see what he offers. He goes missing for large parts of the game, rarely passes the ball forward, spends a lot of time chasing shadows off the ball and is surely the biggest bottler of tackles going. I really hope he develops into a great player for us, but it seems a lot on here are showing a huge leap of faith in saying he's going to be a top player. Despite his lack of pace and being a bit younger, I have a lot more confidence in shelvey's prospects. He just has more of a swagger about him, always shows for the ball, seems more vocal and looks to more positive in his passing. Perhaps Henderson could end up being like a frank lampard type player. Seems to disappear for large parts of the game, but is able to score goals.
  8. I don't think it is a good comparison at all, it isn't like we're passing it around beautifully and not pulling the trigger. We couldn't have wished for an easier set of fixtures since Lucas was injured: Fulham, QPR, Villa, Wigan and Blackburn. 8 points from the 15 on offer is not good enough, we're way off being good enough to compete in the CL. We'll see how deficient we are in central midfield without Lucas once we start playing some decent sides. Thankfully, Arsenal are as reliant on RVP as we are on Lucas and Suarez and Chelsea's squad is in need of a major overhaul. You never know, with a couple of signings in January, we might be lucky and finish 4th ahead of them. Spurs will take 3rd, make no mistake about that. Newcastle will come away with at least a draw on Friday, 2 of Adam, Henderson and Spearing are simply no match for Cabaye and Tiote. Obviously the return of Gerrard could make a big difference, but it's been a long time since we've seen him dominate a game like he used to, and it's going to take some time for him to get back to fitness. The identity of the captain is irrelevant - you don't need the captain's armband to be a leader - Carra proved that throughout Gerrard's time as captain.
  9. If the chances created were good enough, some of them would be finished. It's far too simplistic to say we have had X shots on target, therefore we should have scored more goals and the problems are solely the result of poor finishing.
  10. Completely agree. It's a failure to control the middle of the pitch where we are falling short at the moment, our problems stem from this. I know a lot on here seem to rate Henderson, and i know he's young, but I just don't see what he offers, he is completely anonymous for parts of the game. Adam is brilliant with the ball, but one of the worst midfielders in the league without it.

There's no way Suarez is playing in this game, is there? Isn't he going to be banned by the weekend for his middle finger salute?
  14. Henderson?! People saw a different game to the one I saw. Agger Adam Skrtel
  15. Lucas Reina Agger Beyond me how Enrique has been selected by some. He was poor today
  16. And in the second half he faded badly. When a player goes past him, he doesn't do enough to track them. He was at fault for their goal. Picky I know, as he had a great game, but compare him to Lucas, who was faultless. He reads the game so well, and his ability to win tackles, make interceptions and cover areas left by others, allowed Adam to press higher. Him and agger were immense in the first half, their reading of the game was first rate.
  17. Lucas Agger Skrtel Adam played well, but he's still a liability defensively. He switches off too often when tracking back.
  18. Greed. And that's all they are able to prove, bet there's loads of other mud on him.
  19. Sorry, meant trial. I'm sure I read somewhere that the trial was set for October/November. No idea why its not being reported in the press, maybe there's a order prohibiting it from being reported. Don't you think it's weird how it's all gone quiet?
  20. What I was getting at is that he's currently giving evidence at the hearing, rather than having any medical illness at all, which is why he can't travel.
  21. Coincedence given the tax evasion trial is currently being heard?
  22. Cascarino's is very good. Paul McGrath's book is brilliant too. Had a big lump in my throat reading the last few pages, it really is quite moving.
  23. Hamann a better engine than Lucas? You've got to be joking. Lucas doesn't stop running.
