Comparing Henderson to Mascherano or Kuyt is way off the mark. I reckon the best comparison is Frank Lampard. You barely notice he plays, does little in terms of stamping his mark on the game, but has amazing fitness.. still needs to add more goals. He's got no business being in the starting 11 if BR sticks with 3-5-2 because Lucas, gerrard, coutinho, sturridge and Suarez (f*** me, that's an impressive 5) are significantly better than him. I don't know about others, but touch, skill and passing gets my heart racing, not how impressively a player presses without the ball. I genuinely fail to see what others see in him.

Rumoured to be Lampard

The team failed to control the middle of the pitch against a side with 1 man fewer for the entire second half. I know he's only 1 midfielder, but Henderson is entirely incapable of controlling a game. If he starts most games this season, Liverpool will struggle to make top 4. He's a passenger.

Henderson has been brutal

Henderson?!?! This has got to be a pisstake. I cannot understand this.

Any game where Henderson is playing central midfield at home against a side that should be easily beaten worries me. Without coutinho this side won't batter any side at home, it's going to be close.

I am missing something with Henderson. I must be wrong, as everyone on here seems to love him. But all I see is someone who is extremely fit. I genuinely don't see what he does. He's without question the weakest player who gets a regular game for Liverpool now along with Enrique

Your best bet is the Walkabout near to Temple station. Its massive, you'll get a seat and loads of screens

Why no Agger?

Ignore the goals in midfield and think about how much central midfield used to control things under Rafa. With Henderson in there as the link between Lucas and gerrard, it wouldn't be good enough. Henderson would be better than Allen in an advanced role, but Allen is way superior passer of the ball and more daring. Lucas, Allen and Gerrard is by far our best midfield trio. Those 3, with Suarez, sturridge and coutinho ahead of them is a very strong front 6. I just wonder whether gerrard has the legs for that role any more.

Completely disagree, this isn't football manager. What world class player is going to join Liverpool, a side which won't have played CL football for 4 seasons? We need to keep Suarez at all costs. Without him we'd be completed f***ed. If it was that easy to find a top notch striker, Spurs and Chelsea would have one.

Completely agree. I'm always really impressed with him when I watch him play. He'd be an immediate improvement on Henderson.
