I see Shevvy hasn't been very prolific at Chelsea. I suppose he's rubbish too. I can't believe I'm hearing this. Whinger or not, he's pure class, he showed that when he was with us. I have watched him with Bolton twice and he's such a waste at that club. All they do from first minute to last is hoof the ball. They require athletes up front to win headers and scrap for second balls so their midfielders can score the goals. Stick him in a decent side and he'd bang them in. Stick him in a rubbish side that play to his strengths and he's still be a success, as he did at Citeh.

Kalou isn't sh*te, he's class. But I wouldn't be surprised if they ruin him like they have done to SWP. In their game against Citeh, he looked like a player with no confidence at all. Terrible result though. They will miss Gallas big time, him and Makelele have helped cover Terry for years. Wih one off and the other getting old, maybe the press will see how overrated Terry actually is.

This guy is a fantastic sports journalist, the stuff he writes on US sport is great. The stuff he writes on the NBA is miles ahead of anything written by any journalist on football. Given that I have been regularly reading his column for a year now, I was looking forward to this articles, which he has been building up for a while. Given he has no knowledge of the game, I thought it was a good attempt.

I agree. He helped to change the game against Arsenal in the final, and while everyone was banging on about Ronaldinho in their game against Milan in the San Siro, I thought Iniesta was the best player on the pitch by a mile. How highly is he rated by Rijkaard? Also, will his chances of starting be hampered by Deco and Xavi? Another thing, surely there is no squad near Spain's in terms of central midfielders? A quartet of Fabregas, Iniesta, Xavi and Xabi. How England could desperately do with one of those.

You are spot on about Zamora's goal. Goal of the season so far no question. I have spoken to 3 people who hold season tickets at different prem clubs who have all said Ashton was one of the best players they have seen this season from a visiting side. He'll get near 20 next season if Benayoun and Etherington stay fit.
