    The Gerrard comparisons are hard to avoid and he does a lot in his game that reminds one of a young Stevie. Very powerful, very versatile, very technically gifted and very hard-working.

    Coquelin on the bench for them. Giroud misses out. They have quite a few attacking options though.

    This video of the Maradona goal is better. Commentary is in Italian.

    The guy who touched the ball for Maradona is Bruscholotti. In a documentary about Maradona he says how along with Maradona he spent quite some time arguing with the ref about how the wall should have been further back. After a while Maradona turned towards him and said "Nothing to do. I'll score anyway".

    He explains it in the video. The ball was not played to him at the right height for his position, so he opted to touch it one way and go round the other side. Genius.

    If we beat Maribor and lose to Seville and Spartak do likewise, we might need to beat Spartak to make sure (depending on goal difference etc).
