I've seen some astonishing 6,7,8 year olds play over the years, can't think of any that went on to play any sort of level. The difference between 6 and 14 is astronomical, never mind into adulthood. I I hope Cam's little fella is one of the very few exceptions to the rule. A kid I coached age 9 was our best plyer by a country mile, captain and a leader, He couldn't make the bench when we played in the County Youth Cup Final at 18.
