  1. I wouldn't write him off, not yet anyway. But he hasn't been very good in a situation where he should be stepping up, he was our main striker these past few games, his decision making has been terrible, almost as bad as his shooting.
  2. Fckin hell even Ferguson wouldn't have done this. 02/03/24 Official Statement from Slough Town FC Regretfully, our National League South match against Bath City today was abandoned in the second half of the game, with Slough Town leading 4-2. A medical emergency affecting a Slough Town supporter occurred during the second half, which led to a pause in the game and the teams leaving the pitch. Following the pause in the game, the match officials confirmed that despite them being happy to resume the match, the Bath City management refused, which led to the abandonment. We are pleased to confirm that the supporter is well and was sat up and already feeling much better prior to the match being abandoned as he awaited the arrival of an ambulance. We would like to thank the medical staff of both clubs for their prompt assistance. Our thanks also go to the supporters in attendance on a special day for the club and for our charity partner, Thames Hospice. The match attracted an attendance of 1,406 – our highest in the league so far this season and our second highest league attendance since we moved to Arbour Park in 2016. We will issue a further statement on today’s events in due course. Copyright 2024 Slough Town F.C. Welcome VvD

Apart from his distribution we have a young Virgil clone too, I can see Ibou improving in bucket loads ever month. Playing with the very best rubs off.
  4. I took it mean that in the past he was a 'bit of an auld racist, father' but was now a lover of all men, in particular blacks who were now his favourite voters.
  5. I can top that, good as it is. I was instrumental in helping Davide Somma take part trials at QPR and Leeds, I picked him up at Heathrow from Tampa and he stayed with us for a week before heading up to Leeds where for a while he had a huge impact before getting really bad injury. My mate was his agent and I was helping him out, Somma had played in Italy before joining San Jose Earthquakes, he had been released and was looking for a new club. My son Stephen was 16 at the time and enthralled at the thought of a professional footballer staying with us, the minute David walked in he said 'do you play FIFA, what team are you going to be'? Davide 'Perugia, I played for them, what about you?' San Jose Earthquakes' said Stephen, Somma burst out laughing! Lo and behold when they put the squad up Somma was still in it, I think Motson was commentating, Stephen kept giving the ball to 'Somma' who went on run after run but kept booting the ball over the bar, it was a surreal scene, Somma in our lounge watching himself on FIFA and playing like a tvvat. Then Stephen looked Davide in the eye and with a straight face said 'You're crap, no wonder you can't get a contract'! To be fair to Somma he cracked up and couldn't stop laughing.
  6. I know it is Jocko McHelmet, I was taking the piss!
  7. Spycatcher. I'm s*** with remembering acronyms which makes it hard work to be honest. Worth the read though.
  8. I got that wrong it wasn't that long, but over 40 years. Thank f*ck it's you posting this and not me. I'd be getting the fecking Allen Poe jibes.
  9. I'd done quite well overall, more or less had gone as far back as was interesting with all strands of my family and learned a lot on the way.The only gap was my Great Grandparents both born in Ireland, died in Liverpool, nothing I could find about them other than what was already know, born in Wexford and Arklow, it ended there. Then on Friday out of the blue a cousin from Dublin contacted me, a DNA match she had one person missing from her tree, my great grandfather John Doyle, born in Wexford in 1877, died in Walton in 1948. This lady is fascinating, she left Dublin in 1970 to be with Indian boyfriend to whom she was married for47 years until he had a heart attack on his 60th birthday in Cyprus. She's been sending me photos including Father Michael and Father Tom, two brothers bot men of the cloth. Because she's real it's all real time, I'm well pleased, we have a call scheduled for tomorrow and she is meeting her new cousins in Liverpool, some time soon.
  10. It's dead funny but it was Mark Dennis.
  11. That's f*cked one of my Scouse stories for Southerners up.
  12. Been down to Villiers Terrace)... Bopshow waddy waddy Haile Selassie Plus Hitler got a shout in this mighty song and he was resident for a bit too. Liverpool is a place of utter astonishment at times. Plus my mum often told me of the Ice cream parlours being smashed up and the owners hauled off when war broke out too. So Molby's lot were amateurs in the old Colonialism by the look of it.
  13. Gits. That's what happens with ground breaking, it's experimental and not everything works, especially at first impact, Stone Roses isn't rated highly enough.
  14. Tasers are underused in football in my opinion. Imagine getting a mouthful of abuse from Joey Barton so the ref tasers the c*nt. get the f*ck in...
  15. Beat me at golf, the fcking bandit.
  16. Her old man Dick was a right piece of work.
  17. This doesn't reflect on Endo who has been an absolute star, certainly for what he cost. But if a 21 year old Mascherano became available he would be relegated to cover, on the spot, it's how it works.
  18. Tip. Everything they say on the phone gets lost. Ask for an e mail confirming the conversation and t get their name.
  19. They'll be threatening you with county court soon. I had absolute f*cking murders with them a couple of years back, in the end I got compo from them though, they were so s***..
  20. To be fair £6m is a lot of money for a name change. Why is it that dear FFS, I'd leave it as The Overground if it can't be done cheaper, there's no financial return doing this. The only argument in favour is it's pissing off the angry brigade.
