  3. its always much more fun on this forum if we have a poor result. i sometimes think the doom mongers on here actually want us to fail, so that they get their way and see Parry out. Parry is trying to get investment. would you be happier if he did what Arsenals CEO did and just borrow the money at stupid interest rates to build the ground?or end up like the Mancs, hundreds of millions in debt? we have a tiny net debt compared to all our rivals, we are turning a profit and most importantly, living within our means. throwing £30 million at the team in the summer is no guarantee of success. indeed, some of the most staunch anti Parry people have actually slated him allowing Houllier to spend all that money in the summer of 2002. we still havent recovered financially from that summer. but its all Parrys fault. if everyone liked him i would be more worried, he is the chief exec, he is paid to make the tough decisions, to thread on peoples toes.
  4. you are always worried though

  12. i suppose we could put ourselves in hundreds of millions of pounds worth of debt like arsenal, Man u, Newcastle, Chelsea etc, and just give him the money we borrow to buy whoever he would like

i was a member of a supporters club in ireland for a time. we recieved an allocation of 30 odd tickets for a man u game. the club got rid of 20 amoungst members. the rest where sold on, some even to Man u fans. it happens all the time. the same happened for a derby game, and again a number of manc fans took tickets and went to Liverpool on the piss up, and went to the game. i know this was happening in practically every other supporters club, when i spoke to members from them, and i would be astounded if things are any different now, as i am only talking 5 or 6 years ago. but if you want to think this doesnt go on, then fine, i'm not going to argue, because i know i am right about this. do travel companies charging mega bucks for tickets for these games get reduced allocations too for "big" games?
  16. what was the final score

because vast amounts of tickets go to supporters clubs and independant travel companies. the supporters clubs who then when they havent got enough people to take all the tickets sell them on to their mates, who in many cases support other teams.
  18. the best for me so far was probably Garcia's winner against Arsenal. just because it came so late on, and we battered Arsenal in that game. beating the Mancs was sweet too, as was winning the super cup, but late winners at the Kop end are hard to beat for celebrations
  19. it is a pretty serious allegation though. if personally think that if it was true, we would have heard about it before now.

still doesnt make it right though. with the fan card system now in place, loyalty should be rewarded. if you've been to a load of league games you should have a better chance of getting one. no doubt there will be a load of first time daytrippers over from Ireland and Norway on derby day, while regular fans miss out. it seriously needs addressing
