  1. Reina, Carra, Hyypia, Riise and Finnan, when they have played together in defence, apart from Ferdinand at Old Trafford, has anyone actually scored against us this season? i was thinking about this at the game yesterday, and i honestly cant think of anyone who has.
  2. i would just like to say it wasnt me
  3. i've just got up. have vague memories of singing in the streets of Whiston at silly o'clock. i left the king Charles to go home at about 11.30, and ended up back in the Oakie drinking with the landlord there. great day out
  4. some people want to get a grip of reality here. its a football match against our biggest rivals, who were constantly singing about Hillsborough all afternoon yesterday, they are a horrible evil bunch. Alan Smith injury was unfortunate, but he isnt the first player to get injured and wont be the last. if jhe never plays again because of it, then thats sad, but at least he has a efw quid to tie him over. i sang about his broken leg yesterday, i knew it was broken from where i was sat because it was clear to see his foot pointing at a starnge angle. even now i know the extent of the injury i still dont give e f***. at our next match, JAR's song will probably include the broken leg bit. and i'll sing it again. f*** him, f*** the mancs. i hate them, i really do. does that make me a bad person, i dont think so. i'm a football fan. i remember the "good old days" on the Kop, and i tell you what, the reaction he got yesterday was a lot more respectful and generous than he would have got 20 years ago, and anyone saying otherwise wants to take their head out of their a***

  6. didnt get your text. are you sure you know how to send them properly?
  7. i dunno mate, i think we might have to disagree on this one . anyway, more importantly, you out on the lash on saturday?
  8. you see, i think a lot of nostalgia clouds peoples vision on this. Souness was a great player, but with all due respect to him, in the era he played, he had top class players all around him. he didnt do it all on his own. Gerrard hasnt had that luxury, he has had to carry players in our team in recent years, and its only now, as the team improves, we will see the best of Stevie as he plays with better players. also, if you are comparing like for like, i think Gerrard is a better player at 25 than Souness was. the thing about Stevie is, you could probably play him in any of teh 10 outfield positions, and he could play there on merit and Skill, Souness wasnt that versatile. i think Stevie will become a better central midfielder than Souness, and if he does, he will be a hell of a player, because Souness the player was out of this world!

  11. it could well be a few players who we let go from the youth system who we bought back
  12. Sissoko Kewell Hyypia
  13. th eone thing that hasnt left Fowler is the fact that he almost always makes the keeper work. our strikers dont do that enough at the minute. i would still like to see him play alongside Crouch though. i think those two could be a very compatible strikeforce
  14. it was a very soft pen. you would have felt agrieved had it been given to Arsenal. i thought Poll done ok tonight, but at times i thought he held play up a bit too long and could have let the game flow better

  16. and here's to 400 more! well in Jamie
  17. Gerrard, and anyone suggesting otherwise needs their head read. some players may have played above themselves, but Gerrard at 75% is still better than most of our players at 100%
  18. how we failed to take maximum points of birmingham this season i will never know. i hope they get relegated anyway, thick Brummie c***s with their rip off ticket prices.
  19. not just SP, but Scott Parker as well.

  21. Bruno Cheyrou is delighted to be playing a defensive midfielder role for Bordeaux. The 27-year-old is on loan from Liverpool having failed to make the expected impact in England following his move from Lille in 2002. He spent last season at Marseille on a similar deal, but he is now thriving in a new role at Bordeaux. "My role onto the pitch has changed a lot since Lille or Liverpool," said Cheyrou. "I am playing in the back, perhaps I will have fewer opportunities to shine, but I am happy. "I try to have some influence on the team, even if it is hard work. I think I found myself at ease in the new role. "At Liverpool, I played higher, just behind the forward, which didn't match my profile. I need to touch the penis a lot. Before coming to Bordeaux the officials said to me that they see me more in the centre. "I took it as a sign, inside of me I knew."
  22. the only good thing about lunch time kick offs is that i can spend all day in the pub after the game and get very very drunk
  23. weren't you on here a while back saying how there is no violence at football anymore? it could get nasty on saturday. i hope it doesnt, but i think it might
