Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Imagine the Scene. A massively rich man walks in - buys the club outright - buys a new Ground for £300M in cash - then spends £400M for the best players in the world (Completing two squads) Most of our existing players are told they will finish their careers at Anfield in the Reserves and a new manager is advertised for We then go around buying up any and all new talent to stop others getting them And then it transpires that our new owner is a dodgy bloke. Would we go for it and be happy? I personally wouldn't - it might guarantee 'success' - but it's not earned. What of the stalwarts at the club - in front of and behind the scenes? What of our roots and our image? We would just be a big plaything/business for a super rich dodgy geezer. Would people be happy with that or are you happy as things stand?
