Tommy Cockles Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 (edited) Thought I’d start a separate thread for it as he’s started well, 10 games unbeaten & seems to have taken to management pretty well. Getting lots of plaudits for tactical/game management stuff. 10 games is nothing obviously, but still. I’ve no affiliation to Rangers or Celtic so I’m really hoping he makes a success of it. It’s wrecking the heads of some of my LFC mates who have a Celtic thing though. Edited August 26, 2018 by Tommy Cockles

Tommy Cockles Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Rangers supporting fella at work reckons that Gerrard and Brendan have fallen out big time.I imagine the build up to their game next week will be instructive there.
Tones Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Was really strange seeing Gerrard talk after the Rangers game last week. Spoke very well though. Seems to be doing very well there by reports. We have a couple of players on loan there plus Flanaghan, so we have a bit of internest up there. Ejaria just scored against Motherwell.
heighway Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I watched Rangers' Europa League game during the week and saw about half of the Celtic match. Rangers seemed brighter and more cohesive in their play. Ejaria was good -commentators picked him out as MOM. Kent lively as well. Be interesting to see how the Old Firm game pans out next week.
Barnesy_10 Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 No interest in Flanagan whatsoever.Too f***ing right... Little prick that he is
Jarg Armani Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I’ve surprised myself by being quite interested in rangers under Gerrard. They’ve been a bit unlucky but still unbeaten.
Tommy Cockles Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 I’ve surprised myself by being quite interested in rangers under Gerrard. They’ve been a bit unlucky but still unbeaten.Yeah me too. Actually felt a little twang of disappointment when I saw they’d conceded at the end today.
Jarg Armani Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Yeah me too. Actually felt a little twang of disappointment when I saw they’d conceded at the end today. I watched it, while asleep on the couch. He does seem to be building a team in his own image, including the Shakespearian tragedy aspect.

kop205 Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 including the Shakespearian tragedy aspect. His next stop should be Newcastle
Tones Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Ejaria has scored again, away to some team in Europa qualifying
Hassony Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Great goal as well https://twitter.com/StudgeIsMyMate/status/1035169449660350467?s=19 1-1 now
Gethin Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 2 men sent off as well Morelos seems to be a bit of a prick - 2nd time he's been sent of this season. Wonder if he'll try for Solanke / Origi on loan after this
Hassony Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Good achievement getting them to the group stages, still undefeated going into the old firm game
Jarg Armani Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Early management stevie gets more red cards than early playing stevie
Tones Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Morelos seems to be a bit of a prick - 2nd time he's been sent of this season. Wonder if he'll try for Solanke / Origi on loan after this First red was over turned wasnt it?
Gethin Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Not getting out of this group Group G: Villarreal (Spa), Rapid Vienna (Aut), Spartak Moscow (Rus), RANGERS
DonRafa Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) First red was over turned wasnt it?Yes it was. So pleased for Stevie. Feels kinda strange keeping an eye out for Rangers results, but I'm fascinated to see how he does as a manager. Edited August 31, 2018 by DonRafa
New York Red Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 I can look at them as a farm club. Can't stand them mind.
