Think I might be more keen on Elliott Anderson. Looks better defensively and plenty good enough on the ball.

Wharton is much better at progressive passes from deep, its his biggest strength.

Think this is what we need. All of our CM options have strengths, but none has that TAA/Alonso ability to consistently hit accurate long passes from deep. We've added plenty of "weapons" this summer, in Slot's parlance, but that's one we've lost, and it's an important one.

That's probably Gravenberch's biggest weakness too. He can move through the middle with the ball but he rarely plays a great pass from deep.

And that's very good. Just not sure if he brings all the other things needed to play in a Liverpool midfield.
