stressederic Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Bayern v Dortmund matches next season should be good to watch.
SteveT Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) to bayern munich? this true now? if so my respect for this guy has just gone through the roof. Focus Online and "Bild" just said so about 5 minutes ago.Bild ususally have more than one spy in the Bayern office Edited January 16, 2013 by SteveT
Montse Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 You mean he doesnt want to go to Chelsea! What could possibly be the reason!
Stevie H Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 i have no love for bayern but him going to germany now is just superb. he's young, he'll still have time to ride the premier league money train if he has a bad night in a munich casino. no real reason to love this news but i do.
Ripley Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 to bayern munich? this true now? if so my respect for this guy has just gone through the roof.As ever, the bookies knew. He went to 2/5 in the last couple of days.
Stevie H Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 As ever, the bookies knew. He went to 2/5 in the last couple of days.i'm not going to go searching for it but i think i posted in this forum not long after he left barca that he seemed the sort to go to bayern and germany next. just seems a nice, pragmatic bloke. as ever, jose's polar opposite. daft thing is we're all celebrating bayern munich doing something really important and positive. shows where LFC is right now i suppose.
Swipe Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Ace news. Won't have to dislike him now! Mourinho a cert for Chelsea or City now, you'd think.
lfc003 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Good move for both parties Wonder how our journalists will cope with Pep snubbing a chance to manage in 'the best league in the world TM'
Ed the Wool Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Didn't see that coming at all. Thought he'd go back to Barca. Will be good to admire him there, rather than at City/Utd/Chelsea.
Nate. Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Great, so he'll stay in Germany for a few years before taking over from Demento.
Hassony Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 to bayern munich? this true now? if so my respect for this guy has just gone through the roof. why is that out of curiosity? I think he has always admired Bayern, probably waited for the ilverpool job but now that he's seen Rodgers doing so well, he thought to himself that he should take the next best job that is available for the time being Didn't see that coming at all. Thought he'd go back to Barca. Will be good to admire him there, rather than at City/Utd/Chelsea. Barca seem to be doing quiet well without him
Stevie H Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Good move for both parties Wonder how our journalists will cope with Pep snubbing a chance to manage in 'the best league in the world TM' just stolen the FA's 150th birthday back pages as well.
Swipe Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Great, so he'll stay in Germany for a few years before taking over from Demento. I'd say so. He'd never admit it, but it'd be funny if the Rafa protests put him off Chelsea a bit.
Stevie H Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 why is that out of curiosity? because he's not done the obvious. or the easy. or the expected.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) This move says that Chelsea and City dont interest him. If he wants to move to England in the future then that leaves Utd and that position is bound to come available in 3-4 years, a decent period of time to spend in Germany. Mourinho at City vs Guardiola at Utd ? Edited January 16, 2013 by Rory Fitzgerald

If he wants to move to England in the future then that leaves Utd and that position is bound to come available in 3-4 years, a decent period of time to spend in Germany.i disagree. i don't think he's picked bayern because of chelsea and city's set ups. i think he's done it because of bayern's and germany's.
Hassony Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 because he's not done the obvious. or the easy. or the expected. Yeah, managing Bayern is pretty difficult the only option open to him in England is the chelsea one, and he would have been mad to take on that job
yellow jumper Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I'd say so. He'd never admit it, but it'd be funny if the Rafa protests put him off Chelsea a bit. could be. apparently he was the one who convinced abramovic of rafa's credentials when they first made contact.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 just stolen the FA's 150th birthday back pages as well. Total respect for him here. We need to tell Chelsea fans that this means Rafa stays on
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 i disagree. i don't think he's picked bayern because of chelsea and city's set ups. i think he's done it because of bayern's and germany's. Are they not one and the same reasons i.e. he prefers a football club like Bayern, not the circus at Chelsea and to a lesser extent, City's recently manufactured team. Utd's set up is likely to appeal to him similar to Bayerns in Germany - the other set up in England would be Arsenal perhaps.
johngibo YPC Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 the only option open to him in England is the chelsea one, and he would have been mad to take on that job I imagine he could have the City job if he wanted it

Don't believe for one minute that Bayern Munich is not a circus...His advantage will be the language. He won't understand what's going on around him ...
