I'd love to know, with the club actively seeking investment, ShareLiverpool haven't been more proactive in trying to acquire a 25% stake in the club. It would be certainly more attainable than their bonkers outright purchase idea.

Why don't you support one member one vote?

Because I feel that if you invested 110k into the club you would deserve more say on operations than someone who has invested 500 quid.

I understand the theory of a voting system amongst members though, and wouldn't let it stop me investing.

You just get a PLC without one member, one vote though. It kind of cancels out all the benefit of fans owning the club. You could end up getting two or three fans combining to outvote the rest of the fans.

If there were provisions in place to prevent people owning too many shares or selling their shares on to just anyone it would solve that problem. I accept though that one vote per person allows everyone a say and it doesn't put me off the idea.

It might be a pipe dream and may never happen but everyone should sign up otherwise we'll never know.

Believe the strategy is to cover a largeish chunk with commercial partnering

So you'd be f***ed without 1 member one vote, though they may never get the commercial partnering without some sort of proportional element.

sent them a mail recently, expressing my disappointment at their inactivity and silence in the last 6 months. questioned their ability to deliver.

If there won't be enough money generated to buy the club at 500 quid each then it makes sense to me to allow fans to buy say 10 shares. There's going to be about 100,000 shares, if you own ten you have a 0.01% vote. You'd still need lots and lots of people working together to gain control.

I prefer the principle of 1 member 1 vote, but if it means buying a share in the club is infeasable then we should look at compromise options.

they cannot deliver as the proposition, while on the right lines, is fundamentally and fatally flawed

but the most fatal flaw is their reluctance to compromise or let experienced people run with the ball

Thanks. I don't trust that man, and I know others on here feel the same way. He seems a bit of an egotist and the stuff with him looking for money off Hillsborough last year was a disgrace. I don't see how ShareLiverpool can expect us to put our faith in them when they've stood idly by for the last 6 months while our club has imploded.

I agree with the principle of fan ownership or fan representation, but it has to be done correctly.

What did he do re Hillsborough?

A mate of mine (posts on TLW) was doing a documentary on Hillsbrough for Danish Tv and asked Rogan Taylor for an interview. Rogan Taylor wrote back saying he'd do it for 500 euros.

If I remember correctly, Taylor defended himself saying it was just a way of saying "no thanks"...

I registered and was all for it but their ever-growing ties with SoS is making me less keen.

why would that be the case. they are mutually supportive concepts.

On paper, yes. I just don't see SoS as a supportive group at all.

Other than their initial comments putting my back up and their unofficial spokesmen on here doing more damage... they just seem like angry, irrational blokes interfering in an amateurish way. I have enough doubts on whether those at ShareLiverpool have the brains to run the club... that would be exacerbated if this divisive group wanted a say in the running too.

IMHO.
