The view from the (Burnley) dressing room

According to the man wot does their main fan forum, the opinion from the Burnley dressing room after the game at Anfield was that we were the best team they have faced this season.

Obviously this now means nothing as they have played Spurs and the leg end that is Robbie Keane, but tought I'd pass it on just the same

well blake and jensen were on goals on sunday yesterday and they said it then.

that's the view from chris (unbelievable jeff) kamara.

but they never got to face us with alonso in the team, so their views doesn't count

They'd already played them - and Chelsea - before pitching up at our place. I think.

no great surprise that they would think we were better than Everton or Man U, considering Burnley won those matches whereas we tonked them.

and we beat them by 4, while Chelsea beat them by 3 and Stoke by 2, so again, hardly surprising that they'd say we were the toughest.

as you suggest, it might be (half) interesting to hear whether they now think that Spurs were better than us.

Some of the goals they conceded were very very soft at WHL.

Centre backs letting the ball bounce and stuff....

Jensen did alright like.

But they deserved a b******ing. Long straight balls from the goalie being buried after 1 touch is pub football

I knew some c*** was going to point that one out

We used that tactic well. Just lob in a teaser of alehouse football every now and then to catch them off guard

I like Eoin Coyle,Burnley play some great stuff.

To me he's like the anti-Allardyce.

Perfect description.

Anny Road, just as a matter of interest, how is he rated in the dressing room?

they really like him

He is a bit of a b*****d apparantly, but has real respect off the players, even more so after turning down Celtic

He did call Ferguson the greatest manager in the world though... :hmm:

he says was and he discussed it with his senior players

From what I know, the celtic board only put out feelers through agents as a fall back while Mowbray was sorting out the deal with WBA to let him go. nothing was actually offered.

They did the same with McCarthy.

If he turned them down its still fair play
