Superjay Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Just been watching a programme about the 1982 world cup. Maradona got absolutely destroyed in that tournament. Especially the italy game. But what Schumacher does to battiston must go down as the worst "tackle" of all time?3 cracked vertebrae & missing teeth and the c**t claims innocence that he dived.
Superjay Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) How long have you been waiting to post that? Edited August 10, 2009 by Superjay
Stefano Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) Who was the recent one in a European game against a Scottish side? Think the guy or team was Portugese. Big stamp right over the top of the ball. Edited August 10, 2009 by Stefano

fyds Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 schumacher went on to be best man at his wedding. true fact.but was Battiston conscious at the time?
John am Rhein Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Just been watching a programme about the 1982 world cup. Maradona got absolutely destroyed in that tournament. Especially the italy game. But what Schumacher does to battiston must go down as the worst "tackle" of all time?3 cracked vertebrae & missing teeth and the c**t claims innocence that he dived. Remember it well. Was great!
John am Rhein Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Actually more seriously, the worst tackle I've seen was by Steve Perryman (ex Spurs) in a bad tempered game vs Barcelona circa 1982, I think. Basically raked his studs down as much of the Barcelona player's (can't remember who) leg as he could get. Very obviously pre-meditaed, although strangely English TV didn't highlight the incident.
Stevie H Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 what about that souness one on (i think) his debut for rangers? that one where he just stamped on the lad's balls. then protested about how he'd been fouled earlier so it was alright. was f***ing hilarious.
Beardsley Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Roy Keane on Alf Inge Haaland. Ended Haalands career, and Keane bragging of it in his book.
Falconhoof Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Essien on Didi was quite a severe challenge.
fred milne Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 what about that souness one on (i think) his debut for rangers? that one where he just stamped on the lad's balls. then protested about how he'd been fouled earlier so it was alright. was f***ing hilarious. That wasn't his debut, although he did get sent off in that match.
Bailo Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 benjamin massing assassinating claudio canniggia at the 1990 world cup. Always, always make me laugh that one.
Swipe Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Wasn't a tackle but John Fashanu's elbow on Gary Mabbutt was f***ing brutal
Superjay Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Always, always make me laugh that one. Especially the no. 7 jogging over a pushing him then running away like a jesse. Very Fr. Dougal Maguire
Stevie H Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Always, always make me laugh that one.it's like something out of a f***ing cartoon.
Murphman Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) I can't find it on You Tube but Gavin McGuire's tackle which finished the career of Danny Thomas deserved a jail sentence. Edited August 11, 2009 by Murphman
Eiler99 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 This one wins hands down At least there's a ball in sight. Unlike this one.
Benzo-13 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I can't find it on You Tube but Gavin McGuire's tackle which finished the career of Danny Thomas deserved a jail sentence. Vinny Jones on Gary Stevens (Spurs utility player) was a similar one.Never right after it.
Chili Palmer Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Vinny Jones on Gary Stevens (Spurs utility player) was a similar one.Never right after it. never right before it. I always hated him.
Bailo Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 it's like something out of a f***ing cartoon.I think it's the way they have 2 bites at him, then the chap just seems to say "THIS is how you do it".
