Performances haven't been great this season although Ablett has had to cope with a lot of player changes etc.

El Zhar and Insua have broken through this season though and Spearing, Darby and Kelly have made first team debuts so things can't be all bad.

Has to do something with the King coming back home.

I'm surprised Piet Hamburg isnt in the firing line yet especially with Parry leaving.

That's nailed on. Could be the one for Kenny.

Ablett was toast of many last season - injuries have hit our 2nd string badly this season - unless he has had an offer elsewhere I'd be surprised if he was to leave

Why do you say that?

Whenever i've watched the reserves this season they've been disjointed and ineffectual. Part of the blame is having players not good enough, but what he has at his disposal is still good enough to not be bottom of the reserves league.

When you contrast this to the u-18 team who basically play like a mini-version of the first team, the difference is massive.

Get rid of him before he ruins the great batch of u-18's coming through

Strange thing to say. I would go as far as to say that with Ablett being Rafa's man the path through from under 18 to the first team is a lot more open than it has been in years. Ablett also seems to be instilling Rafa type mindsets into the players.

Unless Rafa believes he has someone superior lined up or Ablett thinks he has something better lined up I can't see a change.

He only spoke to .tv after the ressies game on Monday and didn't speak to any other media as he usually does. Might have been the result though

LFCnow did announce about 3 weeks ago that Angel Vales - Reserve Coach and Head of Technical Analysis, contract was not being renewed and wished him well for the future when he leaves at the end of the season. No mention of anyone else tho.

Don't know if you've watched much reserve football but its been like that for years. It hasn't suddenly dropped off now that Ablett is there.

It was a lot better last year.

When Ablett was also there, no ?

So why do you want to get rid of him again.

Reserve football isn't about building a side that will win the reserve league because its not building for the long term. So performance is inherently patchy. Yes you get good years and consistent results in some seasons but if you don't, that isn't of itself an indictment of the coach.

When we won the youth cup against City and people were raving about the likes of Anderson and Barragan we played like s*** at times in the reserve league.

they played some great stuff last year, this year they have been rubbish (individually and collectively) with the exception of few

What's Parry got to do with Hamburg? Seem to remember Rafa being very supportive of Hamburg coming here at the time.

Anyhow, be nice to see someone like Hyypia given a role at the club given he will hardly get to play next season.
