ChrisC Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 For a bigger club in the summer, whats peoples opinions on him? Ive always thought he was quite a tidy player, skillful and a good passer of the ball.. Is he worth a look?
honourablegeorge Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 He's yet another exampel of the type of player we end up with when what we actually need is a pacy attacker to give width.
CarraLegend Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Mediocre. The same Level as Pederson and other such garbage.
ChrisC Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Where would he fit in? Can play on either wing, though has been used predominantly on the left by Portsmouth, I reckon he could do a job behind a striker / strikers, it would depend on the fee for me though, as you said there are other positions we are crying out for quality in!

He might get played out wide, but winger he ain't he's a CM in my book. Do a job behind the striker, at whose expense Gerrard's?
Nate. Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 He's gash. Even the Pompey fans I know won't be sorry to see him leave.
honourablegeorge Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I reckon he could do a job behind a striker / strikers Benayoun could do a job behind the striker, it's his best position. Keane coudl have too. Babel might fit in there aswell. But it's Gerrard's position, so there's just no point in signign another player to play ina position that's not available.
alias75 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 If he was on a bosman hes the type of player you might go for because if he didnt work out you could sell him for a decent fee, but i think he lacks pace to play at the very highest level in the PL. Probably end up somewhere like Tottenham or Newcastle.
Hassony Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I'd rather have Hreidarsson. Lets hear it for "The Herminator"
honourablegeorge Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) You could get the kop singing "Hreidarsson The Storm" Edited February 12, 2009 by honourablegeorge
Jarg Armani Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 You could get the kop singing "Hreidarsson The Storm" Haha! for that reason, and others, i'd have him. As backup mainly. Doesn't anyone else think he's a Rafa sorta playa?
sutty Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Lets hear it for "The Herminator" When he repeated that, I wanted him dead.
Bigal Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 When he repeated that, I wanted him dead. I had just forgotten about about. I am now angry again

Kranjcar is also pretty tiny. has some skill but gets knocked off the ball way too easily.
JRC Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Crap at defending the post as well - thankfully.
honourablegeorge Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Haha! for that reason, and others, i'd have him. As backup mainly. Doesn't anyone else think he's a Rafa sorta playa? I thought he'd be useful before. Don't see the need for him now. Apart from the song.
Knox_Harrington Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Haha! for that reason, and others, i'd have him. As backup mainly. Doesn't anyone else think he's a Rafa sorta playa? He can attack a set piece.
muleskinner Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 He seems to be in a team that gets relegated every season before getting a move to another side who then do the same.
Alonso Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Pretty sure he's been linked with Arsenal in the past so mya go there especially if RVP etc leave.
Dominus Maximus Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Surely this should be moved to the GF-Forum?
Kahnee Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Probably end up somewhere like Tottenham. That's most likely. Only thing going against him is he didn't play there under Martin Jol
Jarg Armani Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 He can attack a set piece. Fair point. Not Rafa's style that. He doesn't rate headers into the net, i'm certain of it.
