I like Silva. Aragones is a c*** for subbing Torres and leaving Villa on. Villa had let his head drop.

Well, Xabi must be mad, when you see the dross that kept coming on for Spain. Xabi has been the best performing midfielder for Spain so far, even if itæs just one game sofar.

bit of a mixed bag from silva, I still think he would be a good addition, though.

I watched him closely and I think that when he came in from the wing positions his use of the ball and movement was absolutely top drawer. He is lightweight, mind - but it didn't hamper Garcia much.

Silva looked good on the ball, but why did Aragones put him on the right so soon, and then not change him back? And taking Torres off was an even stranger decision - they're through despite their manager....

I actually thought the Torres sub was a good one. Initially confused but the guy that came on did a good job and was in the right places at the right times.

He did f*** all to deserve that sub though. Guiza in the last match was b******s. Alonso should've been on for Torres. Spain probably would have won in regulation time.

If you were Italian, certainly.

Johnny Giles on RTE was slagging off Silva, he said after the game he couldn't understand why he was left on the whole game. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I thought he was the best player on the park.

I thought Senna and Chiellini were the best players.

Silva looks a Garcia type of player - some good moments and some moments of carelessness.

A Luis Garcia without the misplaced passes. Luis Garcia DeLuxe.

i thought Silva was decent as well, i think they where mjust more confused with leaving fabregas on the bench, and then taking Torres off, if anyone was to come off, it should have been Villa, he was dirt

i was watching silva rven more intently last night, and funnily enough, my missus, i know, a girl, thats a person with boobs and a hard time getting around the offf side rule, anyway, she reckons silva doesnt amazingly play great, because Spain play way too slow and thats making players Silva and Torres look bad, she really needs to start watching more big Brother, she`s getting a little bit too big for her boots i reckon, but i think she`s right

Agreed. We were linked with Chellini a while back, weren't we? Did a very good job last night.

Silva would be a great addition.

i was amazed that Xabi didn't come on yesterday, the match was perfect for him to come on

In fairness, Senna had a great game and it made more sense putting on fabregas for xavi when you're looking to score a goal.

Febregas has been very average in this tournment, Xabi would have been the better option to replace Xavi

they both should have come on though instead of the awful cardoza and guiza

Calorza Motty, Calorza.

Think Fabregas was excellent when he came on last night. Grabbed the game and looked positive, in marked difference to Xavi and the horribly out of position Iniesta.

Is Joaquin in the squad? Couldn't do much worse than him on the right.

Aragones got their subs right last night - bar taking Torres off when he was doing very well and stretching the Italian defence when the ball was booted into the channel. Guiza did nothing really.

Xabi wouldn't have done much in a game as congested that, and Fabregas' willingness to get forward made it a better sub that setting up with two defensive midfielders who don't go forward very often at all.

Graham Taylor kept raving about xabi and how he should have come on yesterday

I thought he should have saved a sub to use Pepe for penalties - happily I was wrong.
