Apart from standing in the right place twice, I can't remember much of note that Podolski actually did.

spain aren't going to be good enough defensively. they're not blessed with centre-halves but there are better options than marchena. he should consider ramos there with alf at right back.

he worked incredibly hard for his team in both games and always looked a threat.
