Roy F***ing Hodgson - 'Football' Mamanger

Damn you Internet Terrorists! Also sprach der Meister mit 36 Jahre Erfahrung... -
Carlos Slim (estimated worth $70 Billion) is a major stake holder in the New York Times Company.

Gerrard suggested Keane to Parry and Benitez, he thought he would be a good fit. How many dots do you need?
-
Gerrard's buddy was on here 3 months before the transfer saying it was a done deal - he was also the one who leaked the info about the change of agent. Spurs accused Liverpool of 'unsettling' the player - how did that happen?
-
Keane switched his agent about 6 months before the transfer. He was Gerrard's choice, Benitez wanted Barry first.

Dalglish tried to sign Keane from Forest or what would have been a british record, but Fergie made a phone call. -
"Crouch was too tall and Kuyt too strong." There was also something about Rafa not being stupid, and Mourinho not being able to work magic. Terry and Carvalho were out and I think it was Cech's first game back after his incident, they lined up with Essien in central defence and Mikel as the anchor man in midfield. Crouch put Kuyt through after 3 minutes and Pennant scored with an impressive volley soon afterwards. Other memorable were Robben trying to tackle a player and hurting his ankle, he had to go off and walked to the dugout - Mourinho was furious with him. Afterwards Sky were trying to blame the head guard for restricting Cech's view but Mourinho set the record straight. I don't think he was complaining about us, he was well pissed off at his players because without Terry, Carvalho and Makelele they weren't up for it psychologically and it was also clear Cech was a shadow of his former self. Abramovich had refused to sign a defender the week before as well so he had plenty to be unhappy about.

Interview with Parry in last nights evening standard

You don't have to read beyond that - in hindsight it wasn't a mistake? Clearly not doing a background check was a mistake. -
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but this was interesting. Purslow fronted an unsuccessful bid to buy Man Utd in 1998 - if only he had succeeded, he couldhave been a Liverpool legend. . Fantasy football (The Independent, September 1998)

If Kenny had been in charge from summer
Extraordinary Swindle replied to épieur's topic in Liverpool FC
And the FA Cup - the day Kenny came in the cup runs went to cr@p. -
Souness said it on Sunday - the appointment of KD as manager has united the players, the club and the fans. Before no matter what the result there would always be an issue or an argument over the tactics or the players or something within the club, there is now harmony with everybody working together and Liverpool FC can only benefit from this. I think he actually said "We" instead of Lverpool FC before correcting himself which was nice.

I think they've already made a series about his exploits - his alter ego is Crixus (Spartacus Gods of the Arena).

The Texas scumbag has raised his head
Extraordinary Swindle replied to New York Red 's topic in Liverpool FC
The last line of the report is inaccurate - RBS determined that the sale price was the value of the debt owed and there would be no windfall for Hicks and Gillett. Mill Financial got stung because Gillett's debt to them was not covered in the sale price. -
It's not a static diamond like Chelsea's - the players in the Liverpool diamond inter change positions, Gerrard/Lucas go forward Meireles drops back. The only one that doesn't drop back into the covering position is Maxi, he appears to only switch between the left and right. It's great because it means the opposition can't go man to man in midfield without risking being pulled out of position.

No way it was a penalty. Ivanovic was not going to get the ball unless he went through Agger. Johnson saw Agger had it covered and check his own run. It wasn't obstruction, Johnson didn't step in front of Ivanovic to block his run and he was entitled to stand his ground - there is contact allowed in the game, it's not basketball. Slow motion replays from different angles can be deceiving you have to watch it in real-time to see how the incident occured - this is a point one of the american football pundits made during the Super Bowl. You can slow an incident down to make it looked like there was intent by Johnson to clatter Ivanovic. To me it looked as though Ivanovic was looking to engineer the foul he wasn't going to win the ball against the two defenders without commiting a foul. A few minutes later Ivanovic went into the back of Aurelio and knocked him into the back of Terry under a high ball. Terry went after the referee looking for a free kick just outside the 18 yard box and Ancelotti started arguing with the fourth official.

By the looks of it organising the dance routine for the Super Bowl half time show. Star jumps, mini circuits, running on the spot - definitely a Sammy Lee routine.

Talking about the Demento quote regarding knocking Liverpool off their perch. Ferguson didn't knock us off our perch, Graeme Souness did according to Carragher.

Think it should have been CFP - those TLAs can be confusing at times.

My 2 year old girl who has been "dying him" in a Playmobil operating theatre since last night. Blonde and brunette Torres both went under the knife, the procedure involved removing the hair and sticking a toy spoon in the cavity of the head.
