Great to see him back, I think he will suit our current formation a lot,lot better than Kuyt.

Why exactly? I completely disagree, don't think he'll suit the new formation at all.

Kuyt at least works hard and puts a decent cross in, even if he is lacking in pace and touch at times. Voronin has put in a few decent performances up front early in the season, but has been abject when he's played out wide.

For one thing he looks completely disinterested when he plays on the wing. I'm not a big fan of Kuyt playing wide, but I'd still rather him there than Voronin based on what I've seen from them both in that type of role this season. All Voronin's good games (Besiktas at home, Sunderland away etc) have been up front.

You literally couldn't find a single positive thing Voronin has done playing wide this season. At least Kuyt has a few assists from out there and can maintain his position out wide to help stretch the game a bit (even if he hasn't got the pace to utitlise that space to the fullest).

He's done very little to suggest he can play in the position Kuyt is.

He's done nothing to suggest he deserves a starting place.

If anyone should be playing instead of Kuyt it's Benayoun

Simply because he is a footballer while Kuyt is a runner, Voronin keeps the ball better and we wont spend so much time chasing the ball because Kuyt has lost it.

The "myth" about Voronin not working hard that has been allowed to spread around on different forums is laughable as well.

That said if Kuyt had one ounce of technique a lot of his hard work would not be needed since he would not lose the ball all the time.
