We will be meeting Milan on Tuesday...another Italian team on our way to Champions League final. Then I was immediately reminded of Juve who we romped pass to win Big Ears no.5.

 

Then looking at the league table.....what odds would bluescum finish 4th and us finishing 5th...again.

Then only for us to win the Big ears again this year(in all probabilities).....

 

Have to say I'm getting all the vibes and feelings as I had around the same time when we won in istanbul...

Must say I have similar vibes myself - then again I am an eternal optimist!

I just had a deja-vu about a time when I had a deja-vu about a conversation on here about the potential deja-vu situation with us winning big ears and everton missing out on CL footy - blimey, deja-vu or what!

If we knock out Inter Milan, who are flying high in Italy right now, part of me will be livid.

 

Whilst CL success is fantastic, and who wouldn't want that, my second reaction, assuming we knock Inter out, would be "why the f*** can't we beat Luton away, Wigan at home, Birmingham at home, Reading away, Man City aaway, Spurs at home"... and so on.

I've managed to sleep with Deidrie Barlow so they'll be getting a divorce - just need to get them back together.

 

I've organised a sniper for the pope and I'll drug the French so they get beat by Wales.

I stand by it. Winning the CL is absolutely f***ing amazing, and I've been fortunate enough to see us do just that many times.

 

But.

 

Winning the CL again, and f***ing up the league again, would leave a part of me livid, and would justify people like Jamie Redknapp saying what he said.

 

Actions speak louder than words. If the league is more important, f***ing prove it.

Context. I did say 'part of me'. Surely most people would ask themselves, "why can't we get closer in the league, since we're clearly good enough".

 

Winning the CL is bloody hard. If we win I will be ecstatic, again. Doing so means you are a very good team. Ergo, we should be able to challenge for the league title.

 

Can you imagine reaching 3 finals in 4 years?!?!?

 

"Rafa only cares about Europe", many would say. Let's face it, where would be the proof otherwise?

I don't care what they say, and never said I did. They would be justified though, which many here hate the sounds of.
