....is that while all this nonsense had been going on, the fact that we have finally, as a team, started to play really well. Every player on the pitch Sunday (aside from Reina, who did nothing all day, the lazy git....) played well, we passed the ball well, created, and but for some good/lucky/illegal goalbeeping and a few poor finishes, we could have come away from Newcastle with a record away win.

What's more, we're almost in December, and we are, despite a poor start, right on the tails of the leaders. Level with United if we win our game in hand. Slowly hitting form. And, as someone mentioned earlier, we normally finish the year much, much better than we start it.

Kewell, Babel, Yossi before his injury, Torres, Lucas and more are all starting to look like the players we'd hped they would be. We have Agger & Alonso to return.

If all this crap gets sorted out, and I hope it does, then, whisper it, it might be on.

I didn't think any of them did much on Sunday...

But it could still well be on, all other things working out.

Dramatic as all this nonsense is, it is not as traumatic as the manager nearly dropping dead at Half Time. Remind me again how we responded to that?

have to disagree, the real pity is that we might lose the best manager we've had in nearly 20 years because of a spat. Thats a much bigger deal than a good performance going un-noticed.

it will ensure a bubbling atmosphere at our next 2 games, which will hopefully result in a couple of wins. 2 wins in our next 2 league games, and the Mancs will likely win both theirs, (Derby and Fulham at home) and we'll be playing the Manc's, 3 points behind them with a game in hand. win that, and then its defo on. or something

That's deffo what'll happen, apart from the Mancs losing points to Fulham.

Is Rafa a realistic candidate for Manager of the Month?

Gets that on Friday, sacked on Sunday.

However quietly it gets whispered, Arsenal will take some catching...

I can imagine our luck being going unbeaten for the season, only for Arsenal to draw one game fewer than us....
