Heard it a few times now at lower league clubs. Inc at the WBA Wolves game on now. And bizarrely by Walsall on their open top bus after winning their league.

Weird one, don't really understand what anyone else would get out of it. Unoriginal schmucks. Still imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I guess.

Anyway just wanted to get that off my chest....

Chelsea fans are singing the Anfield Rap and Unite fans are singing Ferry Across the Mersey. Arsenal fans occasionally sing You Never Wore Cologne. Newcastle fans sometomes sing "the fields of Anfield Rd" and Bolton fans have been know to sing "Ra Ra Ra Rafa Benitez"

At one point last night during the UEFA final it sounded like a set of fans were singin or humming Scouser Tommy or Fields of Anfiled Road, I think it was the Scouser Tommy, I had been drinking, quiet a lot actually.

Shamrock Rovers fans in Ireland have been singing Ring of Fire since 1993.

There are very few original footy chants out there these days.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the actual link between LFC and Ring Of Fire / Johnny Cash? Or why did we start singing it?

Typ O Negative fans have been singing "I know your F***ing someone else" for years also.

Ring of fire, I've heard was a tune Jamie Carraghers dad used to always belt out on the busses to the matches and get the whole bus singing, its quite popular nowadays, even the great Johnny Cash would give it a lash before sadly passing away. Such in the wide fanbase of lfc. Rob Zombies has been know to belt out "YNWA" from time to time.
