Mike Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 was in the kop tonight...just to the right of the celtic justice flag at half time. was a great in there tonight.
Spike Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 was s*** in the upper anny apart from a few around us. The gary mac song was the only thing that really lifted. Thought the presentation of the celtic flag was f***ing wonderful
dorgie Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 The"Justice for the 96" chant came over quite clear on the TV. Sounded like a super atmosphere all through for a game that was so poor.
Mike Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 oh and i was right in line with ayline as she did her broadcast to the psv vans. i saw you girl
crisps Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Sounded like not one song got finished properly as everyone was so eager to get onto the next one
Guest Snorky Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) oh and i was right in line with ayline as she did her broadcast to the psv vans. i saw you girl Money for old rope tonight And the La Rafa song was superb. Edited April 11, 2007 by Snorky
JonShar Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 From about the 30th minute to halftime it was outstanding. The La Rafa rendition that lasted a good 5 minutes was wonderful, and Rafa's shy little wave to the Kop was ace.
Spike Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Money for old rope tonight And the La Rafa song was superb. was Mike getting all juiced up over a recording then?
Cobs Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 oh and i was right in line with ayline as she did her broadcast to the psv vans. i saw you girl did she say "crazy, for sure" to them?

uppsala Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 was in the kop tonight . I'de love us to sing "we love you celtic we do" before the seson ends.
Guz Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Rafa's waves get funnier and funnier. He's shouting something to about 6 different players and then just claps his hands, points at the crowd for a sec and gets back to waving his arms everywhere. Class
Mr Makaveli Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 watched it on tv, text my dad praising the volume of the fans.. it was at most times a fairly boring night on the pitch but that was expected.. what wasnt expected was the passion of the crowd. It was great to hear them all singing, at one stage it amde me think about what it might be like for the chelsea game...
Guy_Incognito Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) I was in the main stand right at the Kop end, and after the "He's got no hair" Gary Mac chant, block 202 of the Kop batted on with Gary Macca, Gary Gary Macca song with about 100 verses on their own for fecking ages. And the bit where it went a bit quiet and the PSV fans started singing Ring of Fire was fecking brilliant an'all. Edited April 12, 2007 by Guy_Incognito

Oh and i was in the kop right next to the main stand and thought that bit of the main stand was booming!! especially the back row! Edited April 12, 2007 by johngibo YPC
Paul B Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Rafa looked a tad embarrassed at the length and duration of the song. He is an immensely polite man and waves his thanks but last night he had to do it about 17 times at one stage!
Leo No.8 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) The La Bamba actually made the hairs on your neck stand up, it was fabulous. The highlight of the night for me! The way it grew in volume, went quiet then grew in volume to an even higher level, building up and up, echoing round the stadium, everyone had smiles on their faces and was joining in even in The Main Stand where I was, it was boss and like I said made the ground feel very atmospheric. I had some funny little Leo Sayer type bloke sitting next to me who kept saying 'hmm, marvellous, a triumph!' and stuff like that. I bet you one thing - anyone sees PSV play again before the season you'll hear their fans singing Ring Of Fire. They were really enjoying singing it and I'm absolutely certain they'll take that one home and adopt it. Their fans were good fun, singing almost all their songs in English and particularly in the second half when any hope they had was gone just enjoying being there. We had a good mutual round of applause with their supporters as we do with most of the opposition fans in Europe who come and get behind their teams so well. I absolutely love European nights at Anfield, how I'll miss them when we move... Edited April 12, 2007 by Leo No.8

Mike Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 was Mike getting all juiced up over a recording then? ha i saw her.
Ayline Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 did she say "crazy, for sure" to them? In the end I decided to stick to the script as I didn't want to jeopardise any future gigs. And you didn't offer me enough money ha i saw her. That was a lifesize cardboard cutout of me.
reddragon Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 top night in the Kop. I love it when we get ourselves going like that cos we were always going to be in for a yawnfest on the pitchPersonal favourite was a full rendition of 'a team of carraghers' One omission though - Rockin all over the world at half time - cmon George mate sort it out!!!
Cliff M Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Watched it on the box, and by gad it was superb. Really loud and mostly clear too. Excellent advert for our beloved club.
Tosh Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 speaking of songs at the end, I switched over to watch the end of the other match. As Milan celebrated and Bayern didn't, what came over the tannoy system in the Allianz Arena? YNWA. Must have pleased Maldini and co
